Facegens & regens

What's the difference between the two? and how effective or good are they going to be in the new game?

If I am right in what I think, they're the same thing, the regen is the made up player and the facegen is his generated face.

One refers to a regenerated player (regen), and the other refers to the regenerated face of the actual regen (facegen).

It's regens and newgens not facegens. Regens were players that used to be put into the game as a new player but they were based on a player who had previously retired. Eg - if Henry retried, a new French striker would appear under a different name but based on the same potential abilities. Newgens is what is now used in FM. Players come through the ranks of youth clubs with no relevance to retired players.

I think '08 had a couple of regen problems, 09' will hopefully fix them.

They have been improved. Lets hope they are good this time around.

ah well lets hope the long term games will be a lot better with the improved regens and trasnfer system
