Goodyman
When you start the game I think you should go into a negotiation with the club you selected mainly because you don't get to choose the contract length or wages. I think this would be a good addition in future editions. Thumbs up or down??
canvey!!
Like it, have considered it myself before.
TehPokerVillain
It wouldn't drasticaly improve the game, but it would add to the games realism so it's definately worth considering.
Goodyman
Yeah thanks, my ideas (I have plenty) don't drastically improve the game but add realism lol
B. Stinson
Don't really see the point in adding realism in this respect, considering you're arbitrarily forcing yourself into the job in the first place... But it wouldn't hurt the game in any way, so from me.
Goodyman
I see your point but i start at clubs like Crystal Palace with a two-year deal when I would prefer a three or four year deal so i have a bit more confidence that I will stay.
Ched
Not sure if this would even add much realism to the game, the main reason is that many people add themselves to top clubs - any negotiation would be quite far from realistic; Imagine, i turn up at Mr Abramovic's house, Me: "I'm the chelsea manager now" Roman: "Really?" Me: "I would rather have a 3 year contract, instead of the 2 year one you gave me" Roman: "Lol, i think i'd rather appoint someone else..." - as it stands the current "starting a game" option is unrealistic (i'm not in anyway saying it should be changed!) so i think any idea along these lines would struggle to make it any more realistic. ...if you get what i mean, i sort of rambled a bit. Ched
Perhaps have contract length relative to starting experience? e.g. a random chimp may only be trusted with a 12month contract, while an ex international may be trusted with a 36month contract? Goodyman
yeah, that sounds much better and a lot more real
