New news During the announcement video for Football Manager 2009, Sports Interactive revealed that they'd improved the media side of things in the series, with press conferences and other improvements. Some of the other improvements include some new news items, such as when a host for a major tournament is decided, club history news items, a round up of some of the players who have been released by their clubs, a match incident news item and a squad registration news item.
