Would you spend an extra £40?

Recommended Posts

I posted a similar thread yesterday about laptop choices, and was grateful for all the responses. I was reccomended to look at slightly higher spec machines so have come up with these two.

So, to the question..

The first one (HP) is £450 and the second one (Toshiba) is £490, but the Toshiba has an Intel Dual Core and the HP has an AMD dual core and after reading a thread about AMD and Intel it seems Intel are the ones to go for.

So would you spend an extra £40 to get an Intel processor?

Sorry for the repetitiveness, your views will be greatly appreciated.

Personally I'd rather build one to my own specification. But seeing as not everyones studied ICT I guess not everyone can do it. But I'd recommend buying the one with the Intel CPU, that way you have an Intel chipset on your motherboard and may be able to upgrade it to a quad core further down the line
