Goalkeeping Wonder in Reserves

i decided to do what someone suggested and go on holiday for 5 years and then take over a team. i did that and joined southport with no players and bought them. then in january i had a bid for sumone in my reserves that i didnt hav a clue who they were and it was a goalkepper stats: AERIAL:16 AGILITY:17 HANDLING:16 REFLEXES:17 THROWING:15 and the bid was off man u. i put him in my main squad and had bids off chelsea and liverpool. also it says he has 6 caps for england and when i put him in my main team he was worth 1M unlike the 3.2M he was in the reserves

Has this happened to anyone else?

20 and it luks like he has mint stats for the reserves average rating of 8.09 last year but still wierd that he played for england considering southport went even in the blue square premier then and he was in the reserves

i imagine it will be because he has built up a reputation in the reserves where as when you promote him into the first team he has to prove himself, just to add you wont be able to sell him if hes in your reserves it wont go through ive found

and as Ridley said you have to move him to sell him (although this has been fixed for 09 )

I think he probably means why is he in the Reserve team.

because sometimes new players just appear there first. usually you get told a youngster is being promoted into your first team, but sometimes you just have to look yourself!

it actually helps that reserve players can't be sold. numerous times i've had players with a bigger club release clause (i always star at the lowest division possible) and i would put them to reserves when a bigger club approached them. this bug saved me many good youngsters i've snapped on a free.

well that will change this year then

its only ever annoyed me

the amount of time its cost me loads!

same here had to keep moving players from and to reserves to sell the players i didnt want anymore

but the thing is

when i moved them into the first team, most of the time no more bids would come in for them!

i just kept offering them to clubs until i got the bid to get rid of them

but sometimes even that wouldnt work!

Glad being able to sell players in reserves has been fixed for 09. Wasted so much time having to move players from reserves to first team to sell them, then back again when new signings came in!

this is one thing that really bugged me so im happy too

i think we all are apart from when we get that bid that activates the big club release and we cant demote them to stop them from going

Just going to have to pay them more to remove the clause, or resist signing them! Tough call.

you will just have make sure that anyone you sign doesn't have the big club relelase clause in thier contract because ive had this problem loads of times before.

i like it being like this makes the job a little bit tougher

i only take this clause off with superstars e.g. Pato, Bojan, Lulinha etc.
