PeTrOzDaGr8
Im in a career with Man.Utd and during the pre-season, I figured out that the way that they are playing is not premiership-winning form. Have you got any tips to stop me losing beforehand?
UnlikelyStory
Most teams don't do amazingly well at the start of pre-season. Tinker with your tactics and stick with it and you should do okay.
lhinchliffe
^ as above said, also what team talk are you giving them? I am less demanding in pre season so just let they go out and enjoy themselves! then when your first game comes be more demanding of them!
Eles Gergo
pre-season is mainly for players to regain fitness so don't worry if you're not winning or your team shows no real tread to the opposite goal stick with your main idea as starters get them into shape before the real season begins they will do just fine
Ozzy38
The only purpose of pre-season is to gets your players fit, or maybe to have a special anniversary tournament or 'testimonial'. If there wasn't conditioning in FM it would be a hole of pointlessness it would! Well ok, you get a bit of money and raise morale.. But other than that!... gcormack
i would keep doing what you're doing and it should be ok unless you have a hopeless tactic or a silly formation. the team just need time to get to know the system you are playing, to regain fitness and they are only friendlies so no-one really minds about them. PeTrOzDaGr8
also, do you think I should be training them very hard in pre-season and then dropping it a bit when the premiership begins or the other way around?
TomHAVFC
Like people above have said, Pre-season doesn't really matter. Continue with this tactic into the season and if you start bad then change it. If you're Man U you shouldn't lose too many games anyway.
