Onkster Posted October 27, 2008 Share Posted October 27, 2008 I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but wouldn't it be great if instead of Regen's SI put all of us in the game. Just thinking you could set up an E-mail address and ask all the people from the forums to send in a picture of themselves at 32 x 32 pixels or whatever and build up a database of names/photos which are picked out when a regen is required. Ok there are going to be a number of reasons why they can't: 1) Age of people sending photo's in (Been playing FM and CM since I was 12, so my photo would of looked silly!) and I know some peeps play into their 60's, which again (no offence) might mean their photo would make them look a little bit more than a 16 year old centre forward. 2) People being silly, sending joke photo's etc 3) Well sure you'll list the rest... I know you can add yourself into your own copy, but would be cool knowing you feature in every copy throughout the world. Actually, that's a thought, are the SI team's photo's/profiles appearing in this one? I know the Collyers used too in older versions. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
SI Staff Ter Posted October 27, 2008 SI Staff Share Posted October 27, 2008 We used to do a Face in the Game competition where people would send their pictures but it took a lot of time to maintain and sift through all the crap (celeb pics, porn, disgusting pictures) that people would send and wasn't worthwhile in the end. The majority of pictures weren't in the correct format either. Especially now with us using a higher quality of photo it's just not practical. Never got in the last time because there was a brick wall behind me in the pic and they said something about copyright issues with the brickwall. You already can do this, there is a file that you stick in one of the games directories. You can put as many names in there as you want, you can also specify birthdate, country and favorite club. The regen face is random as well. I'd give an example but I uninstalled 08 yesterday and deleted my files. Go have a look in the editors forum, there should be directions in there.
