earmack
Title says it all, my player (Huth) handballed the ball into the opposition goal from a corner and was sent off. 1) I've never seen this before in FM. 2) I don't think a player can get a red card for handball unless its stopping a goal scoring chance. Has anyone seen this in FM or real life? or failing that does anyone have any knowledge of wether this could be a red card offense(I appealed it and lost) in real life? TomHAVFC
1) I've never seen it before either but it doesn't mean it's not supposed to happen 2) Yes you can be sent off even if your not stopping a goalscoring chance
av3ry
Once on Championship Manager 03/04 I had Paolo Wanchope sent off for handling the ball whilst through on goal....
peter-evo
I am pretty certain it is a booking, A couple of weeks ago, Liam Ridgewell punched the ball into the opposition goal and got a booking and Gareth Barry did against Brum a few years ago Strict referee you had, I've never seen that before! The rules are VERY rigid. Edit: I'm not overly angry it happened just suprised
Butts
Should be a yellow card.
PaulHartman71
should be a yellow, but I suppose the odd referee may produce a red for it
nerner
should be a yellow, but some people have been sent off, as the referee believed they were gaining a very large advantage from it.
PaulHartman71
although tbf, why doing this, and lifting a shirt over your head receives the same punishment, is utterly ridiculous imo
nerner
because it is cheating, and deserves a yellow in my opinion. But shirtlifting shouldn't be punished.
Fmjunkie
I saw the mighty Paul Scholes get sent off in the super cup against Zenit for handballing into their goal. Got a suspension from United's first CL game this season.

I agree, FM shouldn't been seen as a homophobic game! Gays are managers too!
FM_returner
The rules of football are that a red card can only be given for handball if it "denies an obvious goalscoring opportunity". In other words...if you stop the ball from going in by handballing it on the goal-line or if you handball it to stop someone going through on goal. Deliberate handball in any other situation should be a yellow card, not a red.
Kritik
But shirtlifting shouldn't be punished. especially if it's women's football and they are not wearing anything under the shirt
