Some Guy!
I'm really sick of the media in this game, and I think this sums it all up: Might I add there was a 21 year old striker only just back from loan scoring 2 and setting up 2...
Negatrev
May have been focused on more because he was playing against his former club? Just because a keeper lets in 5 doesn't mean they were his fault.... ....if Derby had a ton of chances saved that would really boost his rating. Mike7077
There's nothing wrong with the idea that the 'keeper couldn't do much about the five goals and actually did well to keep it down to five, but there's no way he'd be a man of the match. Think about how well several players must have played on the winning side!

millsy1982
Please don't try and defend the undefendable. The keeper just conceded 5 goals. Nobody in their right mind would ever award him with the man of the match. Fact. I don't care if he saved another 25 goal scoring oppotunities, he still conceaded five goals, a good performance in a bad side yes, but Man of the Match award noway. Some Guy!
Wow... The kid (well, 21... Finally got him a work permit), that I said inspired the win all together, 2 goals and 2 assists on the way to a 5-0 thrashing... Won the Champions League best player award! Totally agree, how many times IRL has someone like Brad Friedel been MOM when Blackburn (now obviously at Villa) where beaten.

When they were beaten by 5 goals to nil... If you really need to know there was around 12-15 shots on target, so it was a fair effort, but the fact that one player was the key man behind 4 of 5 goals seems more worthy than preventing a 10-0 thrashing, especially against the second best side on the planet (apparently)... Brad now plays for a better team and won't need to make as many saves
