Wee Aja
Second season with Atletico Madrid. 12th league game. We've won 11 in a row and then face Real Madrid. The end result is a 2-2 draw that, let's be honest, I'm very happy about because we're away from home. Even though they scored a last-gasp deflected equaliser The thing is, one of my key players (Luis Garcia) had a match rating of 5 at the end. His previous form was 8,8,9. The rest of the team performed very well 7's 8's and a couple of 9's. For some reason the fans are "Disappointed" by the draw  How should I handle Garcia's poor performance? I normally warn or fine in this instance but we're flying and I don't want to rock the boat. Issue a Warning, Fine 1 week wages, Fine 2 week wages, Nothing - A draw was a good result? Issue a warning, he's got to understand that poor performances will not be tolerated especially against your biggest rivals.
LewisQ
Nothing. Everyone's entitled to an off-day, particularly if they've been performing well. Fine would be excessive, warn him and you could have a permanently unsettled player on your hands and be shipping him out in the window. If he doesn't buck his ideas up in the next game by all means give him a rocket.
Wee Aja
Although only a couple of people voted, the general consensus is to go with the popular vote. And that is to just leave him on this occasion. Will do. Thanks. *Because I'm itching to get back to it...
Bren_D
Nothing. Well not in that sense anyway. I tend to drop anyone on a 5, or 6 if I've got adequate cover, for the next match. A spell on the sidelines might make you feel better about the poor performance. I doubt I'd be able to stop myself from issuing a warning for a 4, though. PGB_SPURS_FM09
I said give a warning. But you can leave it! Just don't complain if you get some players "sit" Worried by/Thinks there is a lack of managerial discipline!
Nomis07
Issue a warning, you can't be seen to be weak and if he plays that badly in a derby he deserves everything he gets.
gonzález
Warnings should only be used (IMO) for continued poor form. One bad game, be it a 3, 4, or 5, is fine, as long as it's not repeated in the next game too.
Wee Aja
Well, I just left if. Just played the next game there which was match day 3 of the Champions League. AWAY to Liverpool. Luis Garcia scored both goals in another 2-2 draw, including a last-minute 25-yard screamer. Rated 9 for that match. I guess I was right to leave it. Ozzy38
If I was playing for someone who had a go at me, let alone FINE me, if I have 1 poor game after being one of the star players in the last 3, I'd be peeved.
Pompeyboyz
You need to analyse the reason for his poor rating..... Did R.Madrid see Garcia as a major threat and play him out of the game, which he can't be blamed for? Does he have a low Big Game Hidden stat? Did he just play like a sack of spuds?, which is his fault and a warning might be needed.
