8.0.1 patch >> 8.0.2

to get the update with the 8.0.2 patch, do you need to first have the 8.0.1? i have the 8.0.2 in my documents>SI>FM>DB on the girlfriends laptop, is that right? as its where it is on my comp.

You don't need 8.0.1 to install 8.0.2

8.0.2 will extract itself to the correct location if you run it from anywhere on your PC.

doesnt matter where you put the patch on the pc... once its downloaded, extract it, and run it, making sure you dont have the game or the editor open, and itll update the game for you

To update the player and team data, you have to choose the 8.0.2 database when starting a new game.

once i click on the fm logo it just starts up, it doesnt give me the option to choose the 8.0.2,

its vista aswell if that makes any differance and the laptops not got the internet, so im putting stuff on disks from this comp.

have you doubleclicked the patch file before running fm?

You need to install the patch (not just copy it). You do this by doubleclicking the patch file.

Then after the installation has finished (should take about 1-3 minutes) then you can start fm and when you start a new game you get the option of choosing 8.0.2 or original (however 8.0.2 database is default)
