I believe it's all part of SI wanting to broadcast FM to a much wider audience than ever before. No doubt HMV will get greater traffic from all FM enthusiasts going there, and FM will also gain greater exposure from those who normally wouldnt take an interest. It did sound like a little bit of a moan, though, didn't it? I'm quite glad that it's not on MySpace like the last one. I can access most websites from my work PC - even porn and gambling sites (believe it or not, they're kinda necessary for my job) - but "time wasting" sites, like Facebook, MySpace, Yahoo Mail and Hotmail are all blocked. A question is not moaning. maybe something to do with that large briefcase full of $50 dollar bills sitting over there? but in all seriousness its a win situation for both companies HMV get people directed to there site for a hugely popular game which sells shed loads each year, which increases the sales on there site because of extra traffic but also because some people will then buy the game from there site for SI they get the exposure to people who might not have much interest in the game or even have played it before (the average joe's who are looking for CD's or DVD's) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Then once they've decided to post the blogs elsewhere they have to make a decision at some point. That may have been taken based on the number of visitors to the prospective pages or just the availability of blog space on the site of a games retailer, we don't know.
