antsman
Add to that you can contact and agent to flog a player which increases your chances of selling them but comes at a cost eg slice of the fee
dafuge
1 - Scouts with 20 for judging Potential and ability do not give maximum star ratings for potential on wonderkids I disagree with this one, even with the best scouts in the world there should be no guaranteed way of signing the best youngsters every time. Scouts with 20/20 should have a much higher chance of giving max stars but it should never be 100%. 2 - Chairman continue to interfere and accept bid when you have a bank balance well over £100m I want to say I agree, but what if the chairman is looking to make a profit on his investment? It is an area that needs looking at though, if a club has a balance of £100m then something is wrong. 3 - Players dislike someone out of the blue but when the sign a new deal this automatically disappears meaning no consistency Loophole in the system/money solves everything, I'm still undecided on this one. 4 - Players say they want to leave to win trophies a challenge for honours when your winning the league every year If you are in the top league in the world then I agree, this shouldn't be happening. 5 - Nobody ever seems to accurately judge potential of youth intake I think this is fine, how hard is potential to judge at age 15/16/17 in real life anyway? Sonny Pike anyone? 6 - Scout reports say a player is injury porne you don't buy him but 3 years down the line he has rarely been injures If this is happening regularly then it could be a problem, if it is an individual case then it is hard to tell. 7 - Rather than just filter a position from scouting you can ask a scout to actively search for a player in a certain position only You can already do this. Misodoctakleidist
I agree with dafuge on scouts. Why would any scout be perfect at judging players? Even the best make plenty of mistakes in real life. The lack of super-accurate scouts was one of the best improvements to FM2008.
backpackant
1 - Scouts with 20 for judging Potential and ability do not give maximum star ratings for potential on wonderkids - If scouts are infallible in the game, won't you lose an element of risk? Is there a single scout in real life that can accurately predict a wonderkid? Such as the one who told his Arsenal manager that Franny Jeffers was a "must-buy"? If you want infallible scouts use the cheating tool miniscout. 2 - Chairman continue to interfere and accept bid when you have a bank balance well over £100m - Certainly their decisions should be linked to the club finances, and if they do sell a player for huge profit then a % of that sale price should be invested back in the club or given to shareholder (for realism sake) not handed straight into the manager's transfer fund. However, the ease with which you can make £100m in the game needs to be addressed; currently it's just ridiculous that (eg) Burnley can be worth £100million in 10 years time. 3 - Players dislike someone out of the blue but when the sign a new deal this automatically disappears meaning no consistency - I agree, but can't see it as a major issue. You should be able to resolve these differences with a private chat. 4 - Players say they want to leave to win trophies a challenge for honours when your winning the league every year - Definitely, positively 100% agree. Club rep should increase far, far quicker and therefore satisfy the players. 5 - Nobody ever seems to accurately judge potential of youth intake - Nor in real life. Perhaps when Wayne Rooney or Joe Cole turns up on your doorstep with a football and shows you what he can do, but that's a once in a blue moon scenario. I do think you should have more players with a higher variable PA, and link that to determination and professionalism etc. 6 - Scout reports say a player is injury porne you don't buy him but 3 years down the line he has rarely been injures - Agree to an extent, but as in real life you can only go by the player's history. Michael Owen is "injury prone" but if he went three years without a lengthy injury would that really be a truly freak event, or just good physios/doctors? 7 - Rather than just filter a position from scouting you can ask a scout to actively search for a player in a certain position only - You can do this, but it should be more user-friendly or have detailed instructions in the booklet; took me three months until I found the method on these forums somewhere. solstar
The AI beating you when it's clear they wouldn't stand a chance of doing so irl.
smithers08
Just like Hull beat Arsenal IRL . Teams becoming unbeatable would make the game boring.
solstar
I never said unbeatable I said when it's clear they wouldn't beat you. An example you are Hull you have arguably the best players in the game, you have money and yet along come Arsenal who at this time are on their 8th Manager and languishing towards the bottom of the table with no star signings and players with stats in the 12's and yet you get beaten 5-0.
