The all new signup game...

16 rising stars of the English football scene have been kidnapped and forced to play in the footballing jungle that is the Hyundai A-League in Australia.

2 will be placed in each team - but can they make their way back to the big leagues in Europe and rise to the top of the footballing profession where they undoubtedly belong?

More importantly, which of them will fulfil the Bushtucker trials best, and thus be rewarded with the title of 'King of the FM Jungle'?

The 16 year old starlets will have CAs of 130 (the current ability of a Luis Boa Morte, Diego Tristan or Maciej Zurawski according to Genie Scout), and the potential of 200 - allowing them to be the best players in the world.

The Bushtucker Trials are:

1. Goals scored (x 1 for strikers, x 2.5 for midfielders, x 5 for defenders, x 100 for goalies)
2. Clean Sheets (x 1 for strikers & midfielders, x1.5 for DMs, x3 for defenders, x5 for goalies)
3. Assists (x1 for strikers and midfielders, x2 for defenders, x5 for goalies)
4. Average Rating
5. Reputation of Club that the player is at
6. International Appearances (U18 counts as x 1, U21 as x 2, and full international as x 5)
7. Appearances (sub x 1, starting as x2)

The players will be ranked 1 - 16 in each category (with 1st place getting 16 points, 2nd getting 15 etc), and the totals will be added up. The player at the bottom at the end of each season will be eliminated!

(Celebrity names are encouraged for your players)

Ant & Dec - Welcome to our latest TV adventure... I'm A SI Forummer, Get Me Out Of Here...

Enter the 16 celebrities, marching in pairs

Dec: Well, Ant, we never had such talent on our screens in the original

Ant: That's right. Ladies and gentlemen, this year we present to you the only show where you can see such a wide variety of talent. From, the leader of the free world, to two fictional doctors, and even a popstar (of sorts). Whatever next?

Summariser: The celebrities have been split into 8 teams of two - and there are some fiery combinations out there!

Cut to Queensland...

Darth Vader: Your powers are weak, old man

Brian Blessed: HOW DARE YOU!!! I'M ONLY 16 FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS SIGNUP

Cut to Newcastle:

Big Bob: I finally made it... a celebrity at last...

Dr Nick Riviera: Hi everybody!!

Big Bob: Well, who the f**k are you???

Ok... September 1st Update

Christopher Biggins has had a dreadful start to his career - tearing his calf (and being ruled out for four months) on the 11th of July

Despite being touted as the next Paul Scholes, George Bush has been unable to gain a place as one of the 5 foreign players in the Adelaide United squad, so won't play many league games this season...

Craig Douglas has 4 goals in 6 games for Perth Glory - the top scorer amongst the Forummers to date

Sylvester McCoy has been slightly less effective - 2 assists and no goals from central midfield

House is the top performer, with 4 goals and one assist from left back - also playing the most games having been involved in the Champions League

Midseason Update - 1st Feb 08

Link for stats:

http://i361.photobucket.com/albums/oo54/criz_white/squadpic.jpg

Big Bob and Tyler Burrows are the only two to have signed professional contracts with their Australian clubs.

Haven't calculated scores or anything, but in my head I reckon that Beat Takeshi is out in front

Liverpool are the highest profile club to be interested in one of our starlets - Darth Vader is the lucky one

Several players are on the international scene for England now... Tyler Burrows, Darth Vader, The Stig, Dr House, Dave Benson-Phillips and Brian Blessed have made the latest U21 squad. Blessed has 4 U21 caps, but the others are yet to make their debuts. The rest are in the U19's, except for George Bush who still hasn't played a competitive match.

Genie Scout says that Ricky Nakano has the highest CA, with Christopher Biggins having the lowest (probably due to his injury)

George Bush is the obvious favourite to leave the jungle after Season 1 - he's going to end up with almost no points (Salter must be gutted). I will keep scoring for him though..

Two prizes are on offer - the Official I'm A SI Forummer... Get Me Out Of Here crown
- the Career King Of The Jungle (where noone is eliminated until all players have retired)

More to follow...

Here's a link for the final league table:

http://i361.photobucket.com/albums/oo54/criz_white/league.jpg

News on the rest of the world:

Liverpool lead Man Utd on goal difference at the top of the leaderboard, 5 points clear of Villa in 3rd. Hull, Stoke and Wigan occupy the relegation spots.

England made it to the Euros, on goal difference from Russia to claim second spot. They are in a group with Holland, Turkey and Sweden, which although tough, is doable IMO.

The playoffs are just underway:

In the first semifinal, a Ricky Nakano strike could not prevent Melbourne from crashing 1 - 2 against Adelaide

The other semi final was far more one sided - 2 goals from Craig Douglas inspiring Perth Glory to a 3 - 0 triumph over Sydney FC, with Dr House being sent off late on...

2nd legs to come... but tommorrow as I am knackered...

Dr House doing well at Sydney apart from that red card. Played most of the games this season and scored a few goals which is good to see. We should be able to beat Adelaide in the semi and that would set up a rematch with Perth who, despite the fact that they are the worst A-League team in real life, seem to be playing brilliantly.

End of Season Report...

Two goals early in the second half from the real Melbourne players killed off Adelaide - going down 3 - 1 on the day and 4 - 3 on aggregate

Perth Glory beat Sydney 2 -0 to complete an aggregate drubbing 5 - 0

A one all draw in the Minor Final between Sydney and Melbourne led to penalties, with Sydney defeating Melbourne 3 - 1..

Despite a red card for House in the Grand Final, Sydney FC triumphed 1 - 0 in a evenly matched, tedious game..

Beat Takeshi was the top assister in the league - as well as the player with the highest average rating

Scores on the way...

After much hard work and bickering, the celebrities return to the main camp - to find out who has been chosen to leave the jungle after the first round. The votes are in, phone lines are now closed... Over to Ant & Dec in the Jungle:

Ant: No surprises here then.

Dec: No - we all expected him to struggle from the moment that the locals didn't integrate him into their society. Poor George, living like a hermit for the season, seeing noone aside from the occasional foray with the other celebs with the England U19s...

Ant: Let's have a word with him now...

Enter George Bush, tears in his eyes

Bush: My fellow celebrities, let me say this one thing before I go... You may want me out now, but you sure as hell are gonna miss me when I'm gone. Who's got the ambition, and the intelligence to keep these people going?

Ant: Well, Darth Vader's busy building an evil empire, and Peter Andre certainly matches you for brains.

Cut to studio

Richard Keyes: So, Andy, are the celebrities going to miss Bush?

Andy Gray: Weel, I cannae thunk they're agoing to muss hum, he's not played any games for his club - but he may be one to watch for the future...

Richard Keyes: Thanks, Andy

Here are the first round scores:

George Bush 32
Brian Blessed 37
Big Bob 42
Peter Andre 46
Christopher Biggins 47
Nakano 56
Darth Vader 56
Henry Windsor 57
Dr Nick 57
Dave Benson-Phillips 61
Tyler Burrows 64
Stig 65
Craig Douglas 70
Beat Takeshi 74
Sylvester McCoy 75
Dr House 75

Transfer News...

Big Bob is the first of our youngsters to move, joining Charlton of the Championship in a 475,000 deal.

Tyler Burrows commands a larger fee - 775K for his move to relegated Stoke City

Both players are earning ten times the 500 earnt by Andre and Blessed, the two starlets with full-time contracts at their clubs. The rest continue to reject deals and stay on 55 a week...

We need one of the people currently at Adelaide to move to Newcastle Jets: So JoseRR, PluckaDuck, and JSalter, can we come to some agreement? If it isn't done by 6.00 tonight, JSalter (as the last to enter his team) will be moved...

All 16 spots now filled, so no more entrants please...

Sorrted out my holidaying this year - so will give you a final league table and then live commentary on the playoff games... Exciting times ahead for the youngsters...

Major Semi First Leg:

Newcastle Jets take an 8th minute lead with a deflected long range effort

Dean Bowditch doubles their lead with a stunner from the edge of the area 5 minutes later

35th minute - Windsor is away and looks odds-on to score but Riviera races back and makes a superb challenge

Half time - no other real chances, just a few long range efforts from Newcastle Jets. Jedinak replaced by Boogaard for the Mariners.

60th minute - sustained Mariners pressure but to no avail...although Riviera is booked for a late challenge

No more real chances in a drab 2nd half

Full Time: Central Coast 0 - 2 Newcastle

Minor Semi First Leg:

Sydney FC vs Queensland Roar

Darth Vader is suspended for Roar, so they have no Forummers in their side following the sale of Brian Blessed

37th minute - Sergio van Dijk rounds the Sydney goalkeeper and slots home but is wrongly flagged offside..

39th minute - Moore heads home from a corner to give Queensland the lead

56th minute - Van Dijk rounds the keeper again, and this time it counts - 2-0 Queensland

58th minute - Dodgy penalty to Queensland - but Moore's shot is saved and gathered by the keeper. Justice done?

68th minute - A frustrated Beat Takeshi is booked following a stupid challenge

71st minute - Another goal for Queensland disallowed for offside

74th minute - Vidaic heads home to make it 2 - 1

Final Score: Sydney 1 - 2 Queensland

As Plymouth had a game on the same day I couldn't watch the 2nd leg of the minor semi, but Queensland took it 2 - 0 to make it 4 - 1 on aggregate through to the next round...

Major Semi Final 2nd Leg:

18th minute - Biggins puts Windsor in behind the Newcastle defence, and he cooly slots it into the bottom right corener to pull one back for Central Coast

22nd minute - Windsor returns the favour as Biggins levels the scores on aggregate with an almost identical goal

27th minute - Windsor hits the post with a header

45th minute - Windsor gives Central Coast the aggregate lead after a cleverly worked set piece

59th minute - Windsor misses an open goal, still looking for his hattrick

71st minute - Biggins gets his second after a swift counter attack and this game looks dead and buried

77th minute - Biggins completes his hattrick with a stunning 25 yard strike

Full Time: Newcastle Jets 0 - 5 Central Coast Mariners - a masterclass in attacking by Biggins and Windsor

Preliminary Final

Dr Nick puts in a poor performance as Newcastle go down 3 - 1 at home against Queensland

(In case you're wondering, another Plymouth game was scheduled on the same day so I couldn't watch it - maybe I should get another user...)

Grand Final

Can Windsor and Biggins shoot Central Coast to glory... Or will Darth Vader lead the Evil Empire that is Queensland to jungle domination???

8th minute - After a cleverly worked set-piece, Windsor shoots narrowly wide

10th minute - Darth Vader volleys high and wide from the edge of the box...

11th minute - A quick counter attack sees Windsor in behind, he is forced wde, puts in a teasing cross which is headed home at the back post by Christopher Biggins! 1 - 0 Central Coast

21st minute - The Prince heads well over after a cross from deep

36th minute - Heffernan puts Windsor in but his shot is weak, saved, and hoofed clear

37th minute - Vader's shot is well blocked by Vukovic in the Central Coast goal

45th minute - Windsor nutmegs the CB, and slots beautifully past the keeper into the bottom right. 2 - 0 Central Coast now, and that's half time

47th minute - Windsor involved in everything at the moment, but he misses a sitter from 6 yards out this time

61st minute - Minniecom claws one back for Queensland. Possibly the scrappiest goal I have ever seen, forced in during a melee following a corner, but I guess they all count. Can Queensland come back?

64th minute - Windsor wins a header, flicking it on to Biggins, but his speculative lob lands in the side netting

69th minute - Cleverly worked set-piece by Queensland leads to van Dijk hitting a shot from the edge of the area. The goalkeeper is nowhere near it, but it clatters off the crossbar

69th minute - Van Dijk shoots just wide

80th minute - Vader plays a delicious crossfield ball, putting Phillips onside and through on goal, but his shot clips the outside of the post and goes wide

92nd minute - Another long ball from Vader puts the right winger away down the flank, but he can't decide whether to shoot or cross, and the result is a particulaarly useless attempt that almost goes off for a throwin, but never got near the men in the middle

94th minute - Full Time: Final Score Central Coast Mariners 2 - 1 Queensland Roar

World Cup 2010:

2 players have made the England squad: Tyler Burrows and Sylvester McCoy

Nice easy group for England (who lost 2 - 0 to Italy in the semis of Euro 2008... I wish. Italy went on to lose 2 - 1 aet to Germany):

England
Nigeria
Poland
Australia

Both players are starting the first game against Nigeria

So, here come the updates

England team to face Nigeria:
GK: Burrows
DL: Bridge
DR: Richards
DC: Ferdinand
DC: Terry
DMC: McCoy (I know, he's an AMC really)
DMC: Carrick
AMR: Gerrard
AMC: Lampard
AML: Downing
FC: Rooney

4th minute: McCoy steals the ball from Enakarhire and slips it through to Rooney, who blasts a speculative shot from 30 yards. It goes straight through Enyeama and into the back of the net. England 1 - 0 Nigeria

10th minute: Nigerian counterattack following an England corner. Martins gets to the loose ball first, leaves McCoy for dead, and forces Burrows to make a spectacular save, diving to his left

12th minute: McCoy finds Gerrard on the edge of the area, but his shot is superbly caught by Enyeama

16th minute: Lampard slams a freekick in a promising position over the bar Ed: Sounds familiar...

24th minute: McCoy puts Rooney through again, but this time he gets a little closer and his shot is well blocked by Enyeama

Half time: England 1 - 0 Nigeria

53rd minute: Obinna outpaces Ferdinand, but blazes his shot high and wide, and is duly substituted

94th minute: The referee brings an unbelievably tedious (but quick) second half to a close. Still, a win's a win

Full Time: England 1 - 0 Nigeria

Despite a clean sheet and a solid 7 in the win over Nigeria, Tyler Burrows is dropped to the bench alongside Wayne Bridge, being replaced by Scott Carson and Ashley Cole respectively. McCoy keeps his place at DM.

In the second group game, England play Australia, who recorded a 1 - 0 win over Poland in their previous game. So, the winner today will top the group...

1st minute: Cahill blasts one over the bar from the edge of the area

15th minute: Terry's header from a Downing freekick is tipped over the bar by Vukovic in the Australian goal, forcing a corner, which is cleared only as far as Gerrard. His deflected drive forces an excellent save from Vukovic, and another corner, which Australia clear.

19th minute: A Gerrard knockdown finds McCoy, who slips Rooney in. Rooney calmly sidefoots past the goalkeeper, but cuts his celebrations short when he sees the linesman's flag is raised. Wayne reacts in his usual cool, calm and collected way, sprinting over to the linesman and screaming obscenities in his face. The linesman refuses to change his mind, however, and it's a freekick to Australia just outside their own box.

28th minute: A Gerrard diving header is tipped over by a flailing Vukovic, forcing another corner, which hits the first man

30th minute: Joshua Kennedy recieves a straight red card for a two footed lunge on Michael Carrick... Even Brett Lee would have given that

35th minute: Downing crosses, and Rooney has a free header, but the ball sails high and wide

37th minute: Terry heads home at the near post from a Downing corner England 1 - 0 Australia

Half time: Until Terry's goal, this game seemed like a throwback to the Steve McClaren era - England playing a clearly inferior team, yet being unable to score. Hopefully the goal will have settled them down, and we'll see a better second half than last time

46th minute: Rooney's effort from 25 yards after a beautifully worked England attack is well saved by Vukovic

94th minute: Another dire second half performance from England, but then again, two wins and two clean sheets can't be too bad

Final Score: England 1 - 0 Australia

Both Christopher Biggins and George Bush have come to the end of their contracts and decided to leave their Australian clubs. This ends the Forummers presence in the A League, and Biggins and Bush have plenty of destinations to choose from...

Dr Nick Riviera has arranged to join Championship West Ham for 8.75 million & clauses & Kyel Reid in an attempt to get regular first team football, making him the most expensive Forummer thus far...

However, Big Bob could comfortably eclipse this - Bolton have bid 18.4 million for his services, and were close to sealing the deal. Now, Newcastle have joined the bidders, inexplicably bidding ten million more for him. (29.8 million)

George Bush has decided to sign for Aston Villa, joining Sylvester McCoy. They play in similar positions, however, so is this a wise move given that he is unlikely to displace an England international?

Christopher Biggins joins Sunderland, and he should be assured of a first team spot there...

Barcelona have joined the race to sign Big Bob, bidding c23 million

World Cup 2010 Second Round: England vs Serbia

Burrows returns to the starting lineup in another seemingly random change of personnel, with Curtis Davies replacing Brother Rio... Still, musn't question Fabio

2nd minute: A rasping drive from Gerrard is tipped round the post by the Serbian keeper, forcing a corner, which Vidic heads clear.

15th minute: Lazovic gives Serbia the lead, but it's the defenders that must be blamed as they gave him far too much space and time

England 0 - 1 Serbia

40th minute: Random substitution from England: Wright-Phillips replaced by Ledley King. Seems nonsensical but we'll see...

42nd minute: Well, it worked.. Downing whips in the corner, Carrick glides in at the near post and guides his header past Stojkovic

England 1 - 1 Serbia

Half time: Burrows has had nothing to do bar pick the ball out of his own net, but England look similarly impotent up front... Can they sort this out

53rd minute: A delicious move by England results in Rooney's diving header being tipped over the bar, but the resulting corner is cleared easily

58th minute: Michael Carrick's freekick from fully 40 yards glances off the outside of the post, with the keeper a mere spectator

62nd minute: Rooney has a free header, but it is saved comfortably. Bridge replaces Ashley Cole - not a matchwinning substitution, surely?

65th minute: I eat my words again.. Steven Gerrard scores an unbelievable solo effort. He beats 4 men before firing home from a narrow angle

England 2 - 1 Serbia

77th minute: McCoy runs on to the pitch in replacement for Curtis Davies (I assume he will play DM, and King will shift to DC)

89th minute: Burrows makes an unbelievable save to deny Lazovic, but at the expense of a corner. Even the Serbian goalie is in the box now.. Whipped in, but headed clear by McCoy. The ball comes back in, but Bridge hoofs it into touch on halfway. 4 mins of stoppage time

Final Score: England 2 - 1 Serbia

World Cup 2010 Quarter Final: England vs Spain

Neither of our Forummers is starting in this tough game - Fab obviously has opted for experience (although Ledley King and Scott Carson can't be that much more experienced than our lads)

23rd minute: Torres nutmegs Terry, but Carson makes a good save

27th minute: A beautiful move from Spain gives Torres a chance which a striker of his calibre simply doesn't miss

England 0 - 1 Spain

33rd minute: Rooney turns and shoots, but it's an easy save for Casillas

37th minute: Carson makes a fine save from a Raul Garcia header, and Ferdinand rises above Zapater to clear the resulting corner

Half time: England look in trouble, 1 - 0 down and with only one half chance to show for their efforts so far

46th minute: Terry disposesses Torres, hoofs it forward. Rooney picks it up, skins Puyol, and slots it past Casillas - but the replay shows that he was clearly offside

England 1 - 1 Spain

49th minute: Carson makes another great save to deny Torres

62nd minute: At a seemingly innocuous Spanish corner, England concede a penalty after Ferdinand was deemed to have tripped Silva. Torres with the penalty... Hammers it into the top right corner with Carson motionless

England 1 - 2 Spain

83rd minute: McCoy, on as a substitute for Frank Lampard, hits an aimless freekick straight into the keeper's arms

88th minute: McCoy robs Fabregas, and slips it to Carrick. Carrick plays a gorgeous through ball, which Rooney blasts first time into the top left corner of the net.

England 2 -2 Spain

The match goes to extra time...

101st minute: Valera's freekick finds Zapater, who controls it beautifully, turns, and fires a bullet into the bottom left corner

England 2 - 3 Spain

121st minute: Wonderfully crafted England move.. Cross comes in from the right hand side, headed clear, but only as far as McCoy. Is this his moment of glory? He is left wondering as he miscontrols it, is robbed by Zapater, who hoofs it upfield, and the referee blows for full time

Full Time: England crash out 2 - 3 to Spain after extra time at the quarterfinal stage

Bed time for me now... can't take any more of this emotional s**t... More to come tommorrow, when Big Bob's next club will be revealed, and we follow the progress of a few more of the celebs in the European U19 tournament... Hasta luego

Cheers... Not much I can say to that other than they're going to get even better with the U19s, as most of the team should be our lads. (and as we are so good, we should win it)

Big Bob has moved to Villa, in the end, for 23 million, making him easily the most expensive of the Forummers

In other news, Capello was sacked after the World Cup performance, and replaced with world renowned manager... wait for it... Paul Jewell.

Underwhelmed?

Bad news for the U19s, however. Their group is going to be nigh on impossible... England, Italy, Holland and France

U19 European Championship 2010

England starting lineup:
GK Jason Steele (Middlesborough)
DL Dr Nick Riviera (West Ham)
DC Peter Andre (Bolton)
DC Jack Rodwell (Everton)
DR Simon Allen (Man Utd)
ML Andros Townsend (Spurs)
MC John Bostock (Spurs)
MC Victor Moses (Palace)
MR Brian Blessed (Chelsea)
ST Ricky Nakano (Newcastle)
ST Beat Takeshi (Spurs)

England U19 vs Holland U19

15th minute: Isoufi puts a slide rule pass into the path of Brunswijk, who slots it past Steele

England U19 0 - 1 Holland U19

28th minute: Riviera whips the corner in, it bounces around the box for a while, but is eventually hacked away by van Aanholt

34th minute: Andre makes a superb sliding tackle to deny Brunswijk a golden opportunity to bag his second

36th minute: Riviera finds Takeshi, who's dipping shot is brilliantly tipped over the crossbar by the Dutch keeper

36th minute: Riviera's corner is headed just wide by Moses

42nd minute: Takeshi is again denied by a superb save

Half time: England U19 0 - 1 Holland U19

47th minute: Riviera's long ball finds Takeshi, whose whipped cross is met beautifully by Offerman, guiding the ball into the bottom right corner past his own keeper! Suspicions of a push in the back by Nakano, but England won't care and neither do we

England U19 1 - 1 Holland U19

48th minute: The Dutch give the ball away from the kickoff. Bostock finds Ricky Nakano, who slips it into the path of Beat Takeshi on the edge of the eighteen yard box. Takeshi hammers it into the top right, no chance for the keeper, thank you very much... Must have been one hell of a half time team talk...

England U19 2 - 1 Holland U19

55th minute: A well worked throw-in gives Dr Nick space on the left wing. He floats a ball in, and Brian Blessed, who has done sod all this game, throws himself at it and finds the back of the net

England U19 3 - 1 Holland U19

61st minute: Nakano is behind the defence, through on goal, when he is felled viciously from behind by Danny Offerman (who isn't having a great day). The referee says no foul, and the ball drops to Bostock, who drives it just wide

60-70 mins: A few aimless long shots drift over the Dutch crossbar

71st minute: de Vogel conjures up something from nothing - his shot from the corner of the box rattles in off of the inside of the post

England U19 3 -2 Holland U19

90th minute: Guyt gets in behind the defence, rounds the keeper and slots into the bottom left corner, but the linesman, almost teasingly, raises his flag, and Guyt is almost tearful. Understandable, when he was a good metre or so on....

Full Time: England U19 3 -2 Holland U19

MOM: Brian Blessed, despite the commentator saying that Nakano ran Holland ragged.. Andre and Riviera picked up bookings and 7/10, whilst Nakano got two assists, and Blessed and Takeshi got a goal each. 8s for those three...

In our group, France beat Italy 2 - 1

England U19 vs France U19

All the Forummers start this game again, but Takeshi drops back to CM to accomodate Rhys Murphy. Steve Irwin (great name) starts at right back after a decent cameo against Holland. Matthew James also comes in at CM, with Bostock and Moses dropped to the bench

13th minute: Murphy's shot rattles the crossbar from 25 yards. England on top so far

15th minute: Corchia shoots wide from the edge of the area

20th minute: Nakano beats his man and hammers one in off of the underside of the crossbar. Brilliant goal.

England U19 1 - 0 France U19

22nd minute: Ettori, ignored by the England defence, wanders into the area and calmly sidefoots past the keeper.

England U19 1 - 1 France U19

Half time: Nakano is replaced by John Bostock despite appearing to be one of England's better players, and scoring a great goal

49th minute: Murphy's header is expertly tipped wide by Blanc in the French goal

50th minute: Riviera's pinpoint cross finds Murphy, but his header is appalling and almost goes for a throw in

54th minute England retake the lead messily. Takeshi runs through, has his shot parried by Blanc, and his followup attempt ricochets off of the French CB and trickles over the goal line. Still, they all count

England U19 2 - 1 France U19

81st minute: Takeshi smashes one from 30 yards, but it clatters off of the left hand post and is hacked clear, at the expense of a corner. However, Riviera's corner is poor, and easily cleared

Full Time: England U19 2 - 1 France U19

Takeshi takes man of the match, but Nakano would probably have won it had he stayed on the pitch...

England U19 vs Italy U19

Should be another win today - the Italians haven't got a point in the group so far...

13th minute: Murphy fires a deflected shot into the bottom left to give England an early lead

England U19 1 - 0 Italy U19

14th minute: Ricky Nakano beats two men with consumate ease and slots the ball into the bottom right. Perfect goal...

England U19 2 - 0 Italy U19

17th minute: Murphy beats his man, but his shot is well saved by the Italian goalie. But the rebound falls to Nakano, who makes no mistake.

England U19 3 - 0 Italy U19

19th minute: Macheda beats Andre easily, and slots into the far corner

England U19 3 - 1 Italy U19

35th minute: Moses with a thunderous drive... Tipped wide by the keeper. Corner comes in from Riviera, flicked back across by Andre, and driven wide by Riviera

Half Time: England U19 3 - 1 Italy U19

47th minute - Nakano completes his hattrick from just inside the area...

England U19 4 - 1 Italy

52nd minute: Moses scores a wonder goal from fully thirty yards, beating his man and hammering it into the top right

England U19 5 - 1 Italy

63rd minute: Nakano jogs off to a standing ovation, replaced by Beat Takeshi

65th minute: Takeshi runs through the middle, and curls it into the bottom right...

England U19 6 - 1 Italy U19

Full Time: England U19 6 - 1 Italy U19

Hattrick hero Ricky Nakano unsurprisingly gets MOM... Top of the group, 100% record... All good thus far...

Can't remember whether you are George Bush or Christopher Biggins, so will post details of both:

Bush joined Villa, where he is earning 7.25k a week

Biggins is at Sunderland, earning 23,000 a week but struggling to break into the first team

At February the 1st, two of our players look in danger of not having Premiership football next season... Nick Riviera's West Ham are just scraping into the play-off places in the Championship, and Peter Andre's Bolton are in the relegation zone, but only a point behind Everton in seventeenth. The Forummers also have the top goal scorer in the premiership, the man with the most man of the matches, and the man with the highest average rating...

Who are these three players? Answers on a postcard please...

Also, any feedback / suggestions would be welcome...

End Of Season Update... 31st May 2011

Peter Andre's Bolton side have been relegated from the EPL - but he may well move on. He is currently considering an extension with Bolton, but Arsenal, Chelsea, Inter and Juventus are all interested...

Nick Riviera's West Ham crushed Crystal Palace 5 - 1 in the Championship playoff final

Chelsea won the league, with Arsenal and Spurs joining them in the Champions' League next season. Liverpool and Middlesborough will compete in the UEFA cup next year, and Coventry, Bolton and Reading will be plying their trade in the Championship. West Ham, Derby and Ipswich will replace them in the Premiership in 2011/12.

Manchester United triumphed in the Champions' League, with a 1 - 0 victory over Real Madrid courtesy of Wayne Rooney.

Hull beat Reading in the FA Cup Final - European football beckons for the first time in their history

Arsenal won the Carling Cup - 1 -0 after extra time against Everton in the final.

As far as Forummers go, Henry Windsor was the biggest success. He won the Top Goalscorer award, with 22 goals - 2 more than Jermaine Defoe - won more man of the match awards than anyone else (7), and had the joint highest average rating alongside John Terry. It's safe to say that he won't be going home just yet. Sylvester McCoy provided the 4th most assists, with House and Vader taking 2nd and 3rd respectively in the tackle count.

Full stats and latest eviction to follow when I've done the figures... May give out some awards as well

Eviction No. 4 - 2011

The end of the 2010/11 season begins the start of speculation about who is going to leave the jungle. Well, the votes have been counted, the phonelines are now closed, and a decision has been made. But before we announce the unlucky loser, here are a few awards...

Top Goalscorer so far:

Henry Windsor - 49

Top Assister:

Sylvester McCoy - 25

Best Average Rating:

Christopher Biggins - 7.41

Highest CA:

Beat Takeshi - 16th best in the world

Now, over to Ant & Dec in the jungle:

Ant: Evening everyone, and welcome to Underhill, the highest profile stadium we could get at such short notice.

Dec: Ladies and gentlemen, Underhill is the home of Barnet FC, a proud Coca-Cola League 2 Club, with a long and ...er... inglorious history. And, for those of you who are wondering what we're doing, we are gathered here tonight to hear an announcement from the powers that be. Oh, and don't forget that we're here for an eviction as well.

Ant: So, Londoners, can you please show your appreciation for local boy, and the winner of the first season of I'm A Celebrity, Mr Tony Blackburn...

[[Muted applause and the occasional sarcastic cheer[/I]

Blackburn: Evening, all. As this is now the seventh series of I'm A Celebrity... and we are now in the fourth season, the format, as I'm sure you'll agree, is getting ever so slightly repetitive. So, in view of sliding viewing figures, the producers have decided to spice it up a little for the fifth season...

Here are the all-new rules:

The bad behaviour of the contestants has been noticed, and the producers have decided that the next contestant to recieve a red card will be eliminated from the competition
We cannot tolerate Forummers not being in the top division. If any contestant plays for a club not in the Premiership (or foreign equivalent) at the end of the season will be eliminated
The Premiership is the best league in the world. Therefore, the best players in the world should play there. Any Forummer who moves abroad will be deducted 5 points
Forummers should be playing international football. Any contestant who has not represented the senior England team by the end of the European Championships in 2012 will be eliminated

Ant: Wow, thanks Tony. Now for tonight's eviction...

Dec: Tonight's evictee has been in the bottom half of the league table every time so far. I'm sure he's seen it coming, he's been close to leaving before.

Ant: Ladies and gentleman, please welcome a former children's entertainer and host of BBC's Get Your Own Back, a king of children's TV whilst we were still in Byker Grove. Here he is, it's Manchester City central midfielder Dave Benson-Phillips

Dec: How do you feel, Dave?

Dave: Not too bad boss, to be honest I've been underperforming in the whole series so far, my average rating is the worst of all the players. I probably deserved to go, but I'm gutted. I've let my friends down, I've let my family down, but most of all I've let myself down.

Ant: So ladies and gentlemen, 4 candidates have left the jungle, 12 remain.. Here are the scores so far:

Sylvester McCoy 129
Beat Takeshi 117
Henry Windsor 115
Big Bob 111
Stig 107
House 94
Tyler Burrows 91
Christopher Biggins 90
Peter Andre 78
Brian Blessed 71
Craig Douglas 71
George Bush 67
Dr Nick 52
Darth Vader 50

Peter Andre moves from relegated Bolton to join fellow Forummer Beat Takeshi at Spurs in a 14.5 million pound deal

Sylvester McCoy signs an 86,000 a week 5 year deal with Villa - now the 3rd highest player

Takeshi's new deal takes him to 97,000 a week - the highest earner of the Forummers (5 million a year...)

Spurs also bid 18.6 million for Darth Vader, but he chooses to sign a new deal at Man Utd

Barcelona, Inter and Arsenal are targetting McCoy despite the new deal, with bids of 28 - 42 million - but all are rejected

Everton and Middlesborough have bids rejected for Dave Benson-Phillips

Dr Nick has to choose between Spurs and Newcastle after the West Ham board accepted 14 million offers - he ends up joining Ricky Nakano at Newcastle, who will hope to displace Owen, Martins and Ashton for a regular first team spot this season

Nakano may well be moving on though, with offers tabled from Arsenal, Liverpool, and Man City. Man City's offer is the only one accepted and he joins Dave Benson-Phillips at Middle Eastlands

Villa make a 22.1 million pound bid for Darth Vader... but that is rejected

Liverpool, Arsenal, Middlesborough, Spurs and Everton place 20 million + bids for Benson-Phillips

Villa, Spurs, Marseille and Man City make 20 million + bids for Christopher Biggins

George Bush is the first SI Forummer to get red carded, but he is already out, so the wait goes on...

Forummers must be capped for the England senior team by the end of the European Championships of June this year
Forummers playing abroad will recieve a 5 point penalty
Anyone who plays less than 15 league games this season will be eliminated
Anyone (other than Tyler Burrows the GK) who does not score or provide a goal will be eliminated

Now, back to Ant & Dec for the elimination. Thank you.

Ant: Things don't look good for Ricky Nakano and Brian Blessed, do they?

Dec: No, Ant. They need to force their way into Paul Jewell's plans very quickly or they will be eliminated.

Ant: Anyway, tonight's eviction.. The Manchester United starlet will not be happy to leave the contest at this point, it's safe to say.

Dec: I'm a little worried about this one... Mr Vader, I am sorry to say that you have been eliminated from this year's I'm A SI Forummer, Get Me Out Of Here..

Vader: (choking Dec) I find your lack of faith disturbing

Ant: Lord Vader, you may reenter the competition... please?

Vader: You have learned much, young one

10 burly men enter the room, and carry Vader, who is struggling fiercely, out of the stadium)

Ant: Phew, glad that one's over... I will just confirm that Darth Vader is out of this year's competition.

Right everybody... we are back, after a short mid-season break we return to our celebrities, who've all managed to escape from the footballing backwater of the A-League in Australia. All of them have played in the best league in the world, the English Premiership, with four Forummers (has a nice ring to it) being part of the title-winning team. Just one of the players has moved abroad, but a contract at Italian giants Juventus is hardly a step down...

These players have the potential to become the best in the world at their respective position, and at the tender age of just 22 years of age, I may now reveal that 3 of the top 5 players in the world (according to Genie Scout) are Forummers.

However, life for the Forummers isn't as easy as we all might like to think... Every season, one of them will leave the competition, and this will be judged not only by their raw talent, but by how they've put it to use in playing games, scoring and creating goals, and of course earning stackloads of cash. More recently, former winners of the competition have been introducing new, season-long rules that have resulted in more Forummers leaving the contest. After six seasons, half of the Forummers have been eliminated, and it's certain that at least one will be eliminated during the seventh season.

Now, let's go live to Underhill to hear the wise words of Ant & Dec:

Ant: Thank you, mysterious narrator, and ladies and gentleman, we are delighted to welcome you to Underhill Stadium for the latest eviction. Tonight we also have some wise words for you from the winner of the third series of I'm A Celebrity..

Dec: Yes, everybody, Kerri Katona will be here tonight.

Silence, broken by one drunk shouting "Ugly wh**e

Ant: But first, let's get on with the eviction

Dec: Ok everyone, our latest evictee is the eldest celebrity on the show, he's a striker for the once-great Manchester United, please give a big hand for 1950s/60s pop singer, Craig Douglas.

Loud clapping and cheering

Ant: So Craig, how do you feel?

Craig: Well, you know, I am disappointed with being knocked out, but to be honest when we all came in I didn't think I would last that long. I've got plenty to be proud of, I've scored 49 league goals in my career so far, I've played for England three times and I'm at one of the most famous clubs in the world. I've had great fun, and I'm looking forward to seeing the wife and kids again. Cheers

Dec: What a lovely man.

Ant: Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that was Craig Douglas, coming to a Town Hall or cruise liner near you on his latest tour.

Dec: Now, before we go over to Kerri for the announcement of the new rules, here are the scores so far

Kerri: enters the stage to wolf-whistles, ironic cheers and the occasional boo Good evening everyone. (obviously reading) I, Kerri Katona, winner of Season 3 of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, am here tonight in order to tell you about the new rules that will be coming into play for the 2013/14 season.

- The contestants have not heeded the warning about discipline. Therefore, the player who picks up the most yellow and red cards (red cards count twice as much as yellows) will be eliminated
- Those who do not play at least one game in the World Cup of 2014 will be eliminated
- The progress of the national team has not ben as good as it should be. Forummers have a duty to do as well as possible for the England team. Therefore, the bottom 3 players will be eliminated if England fail to make the quarter-finals, 2 if they fail to make the final, and one if they make the final

This means that at least two players will be eliminated this season.

Hope you're enjoying it, please leave feedback etc..

Cheers

World Cup 2014 Quarter Final: England vs Mexico

The winner of this tie will earn the right to play Portugal in the semi

England keep the same team as the rather nervy win against Greece.

The mysterious man predicts a penalty shoot-out, but England should win this despite the threats of Guardado, Vela and Dos Santos

24 seconds: What a start for England! Ball comes back to Vader from the kick off, he dribbles for a while and finds McCoy. A one two with Windsor is followed by a breathtaking shot from the corner of the box into the far corner. Mexico's first touch is the keeper picking the ball out of the net

England 1 - 0 Mexico

1 min 46 sconds: Disaster for Mexico again! Rooney latches onto a dodgy backpass seconds after the kick-off and beats Ochoa with consummate ease

England 2 - 0 Mexico

5th minute: Penalty! Windsor is clearly obstructed as the cross comes in and McCoy has the chance to make it 3 - 0 after just five minutes... Sends the keeper the wrong way, and it's 3 -0

England 3 - 0 Mexico

7th minute: Stig finds McCoy, he beats his man and rifles one across Ochoa into the bottom right. 7 minute hattrick - is this the fastest ever by a midfielder???

England 4 - 0 Mexico

18th minute: Windsor heads it into the path of Rooney, but his shot clips the outside of the post with Ochoa well beaten. The Mexican players are crying...

26th minute: Windsor heads narrowly wide following a Bob cross

27th minute: Windsor's header is tipped over the bar, this time from a cross by House. The corner hits the first man. Oh dear...

32nd minute: McCoy finds Windsor, who cooly makes it 5

England 5 - 0 Mexico

43rd minute: McCoy and Stig exchange passes, the ball finds its way to Windsor, and his shot is deflected into the path of Rooney, whose shot is uncomfortably saved

Half Time: England 5 - 0 Mexico

74th minute: McCoy and Rooney recieve a standing ovation from both sets of fans as they are replaced by Bush and Takeshi

81st minute: Takeshi's shot is well saved by Ochoa in the first chance of a dire second half. Windsor is replaced by Craig Douglas

Full Time: England 5 - 0 Mexico

MOM: Unsurprisingly, Sylvester McCoy... What does he have to do to get 10/10??? 3 goals and an assist obviously not good enough

World Cup Semi Final: England vs Portugal

Rooney is dropped to the bench for this game - he is replaced by Beat Takeshi

Otherwise the team is the same as previously. The winners of this will face our old nemesis, current world champions and European runners-up, Spain, in the final.

The mystery predictor goes for a penalty shootout again... Let's hope he is as wrong as he was last time

22nd minute: Windsor's header is comfortably saved by Fernandes in the Portugal goal

28th minute: Bob's corner is headed wide by Richards

39th minute: Moutinho's attempted placed shot goes high and wide

46th minute: Nani's corner finds Miguel Veloso (who has got away from Takeshi) at the near post and he heads home. The ref then blows for half time

Half Time: England 0 - 1 Portugal

48th minute: England look a bit sharper - McCoy, controlling the play, finds Takeshi, who slips it through to Windsor, whose shot is just wide

51st minte: Moutinho's shot is well saved by Burrows

62nd minute: Rooney and Douglas replace Windsor and Takeshi

68th minute: Stig robs Moutinho, but his shot is straight down the middle and easily saved

75th minute: Benson-Phillips replaces McCoy. Why?

76th minute: Benson-Phillips finds Rooney, who puts Douglas in but his shot is saved

88th minute: House's freekick finds Douglas, but his header hits the bar

91st minute: Vader gives a way a penalty on a Portugal breakaway, and it's surely all over now. Ronaldo cooly slots home and that's it

Full Time: England 0 - 2 Portugal

That's it for another 4 years... I really thought we could win this one but I guess our young team will only get better...

End of Season 2013/14

The season draws to close with the England team unexpectedly eliminated in the World Cup semi final (meaning that two of our Forummers have been eliminated this season)...

Arsenal win the League and the Champions' League, Spurs win the FA Cup, and Man Utd reclaim a Champions' League spot as well as winning the Carling Cup. Big Bob comes second in the Serie A with Juventus, and Valencia win the UEFA Cup.

With the two competitors eliminated today, eleven of the sixteen have left the competition. Just five remain in the race for the title of "King of the FM 08 Jungle". Over to Ant & Dec in the jungle...

Ant: Evening, everyone, and welcome back to Underhill. We have a very special guest tonight, winner of Series 4 of 'I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here', comedian Joe Pasquale.

Dec: But before we hear what Joe has to say, let's get on with the eviction...

Ant: OK then, tonight, ladies and gentlemen, we have two people to evict tonight due to England's lacklustre performance in the World Cup. Firstly, a previous winner of the show, pantomime hero, television actor, and all around good egg, Christopher Biggins.

Biggins: Hallo, hallo, hallo, everyone.

Dec: Christopher, how do you feel?

Biggins: Well, you know, obviously I'm a bit upset and all that, but, well, I felt that that extra year I spent stranded in Australia really held me back. Then I spent some time stuck up in Sunderland, and I still haven't really got to a big club.

Ant: Thanks, Biggins. Our next contestant is a little bit of a surprise. He is, undoubtedly, one of the stronger candidates. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage one of our most insignificant candidates, a man without even a Wikipedia page, Arsenal goalkeeper, Tyler Burrows

Dec: Well, Tyler, what's going through your head?

Burrows: I'm gutted. This scoring system is clearly biased against goalkeepers. Note: He is probably right... sorry PluckADUCK... How am I supposed to win this stupid contest when you win so many points for scoring goals and creating assists? I am the best player in the world and I'm not even in the top six of this stupid f****ing contest.

Burrows storms out

Ant & Dec: in unison Oooooooooooooooh....

Dec: Anyway, after that interesting experience, let's go over to Joe for the new rules this year.

Pasquale: Hellooooooooooo, everyone. Here are the latest rules for the competition. A further two celebrities will be eliminated after this season, leaving four left for the live final.... One celebrity will be eliminated the traditional way, the other will be eliminated by being the worst player (lowest average rating) for that season alone. For the alert ones among you, the numbers don't add up - this is beacuse the player who plays the most games (league, cup and Europe) will also qualify, even if they have already been eliminated

Comments, suggestions and feedback all welcomed...

End of Season Report: 2014/15

On the transfer front, Dr Nick has arranged a 23 million move to join Big Bob and George Bush at Juventus, but the biggest move was our first Forummer to enter La Liga. Beat Takeshi finally leaves Spurs after years of moaning, and joins Catalan giants Barcelona for 43.5 million, just short of the forum transfer record.

Arsenal retain the Premier League, with Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle taking the CL spots. West Brom and Man Utd take the UEFA Cup spots, and Man City join them with a 3 - 1 win over Everton in the FA Cup Final. Man Utd defeat Arsenal in the Carling Cup, and Portsmouth take advantage of Aston Villa not applying and claim the Inter Toto place. Barca win the Champions' League, and Newcastle beat Sevilla to claim the UEFA Cup

Now for the individual awards: Henry Windsor pips Valeri Bojinov and Fernando Torres by one to the top goalscorer award. McCoy cruises to the assist award, and Vader beats off competition from the Stig, House, and Peter Andre to be the league's top tackler. McCoy takes Footballer of the Year, closely followed by Windsor. Biggins is second behind Newcastle's Joao Moutinho in the Player's Player of the Year. Windosr, McCoy, Stig and House are in the Team of the Year, with Nakano and Biggins on the bench.

Over to Ant & Dec in the jungle for tonight's elimination:

Ant: Evening, everyone.

Dec: Now, before we start tonight's proceedings, let's refresh you all on the special rules for this season.

Ant: OK then. Two celebrities will be eliminated, one the normal way, and the other will be the player with the worst average rating.

Dec: However, to make up the numbers, one of our celebrities will return. The player who plays the most games in all competitions for their club will return for the Grand Final

Ant: Right then. The next celebrity to be eliminated ... is .... world-famous anonymous racing driver...

Dec: (cutting in)Some say that his voice can only be heard by cats, and that he has two sets of knees... all we know is, he's called the Stig

Ant: So, Stig, how do you feel?

Stig: ....

Ant: That's for all the cats out there...

Dec: How bizarre. Anyway, the second celebrity to leave the jungle, on the basis of lowest average rating this season, is... the second of our fictional television doctors, Dr Gregory House...

Ant: So, Dr House, what's going through your mind right now?

House: Do I get bonus points if I act like I care?

Dec: No

House: Well then, I'm off

Ant: Charming....

Dec: Now for the man who will return... Who is it then, Ant?

Ant: Well, Dec, the man who will return played an incredible 60 games for his club this season. He won the Premier League this season and has won 50 caps for England. Ladies and gentlemen, please give a warm welcome to the man who is officially the best player in the world, Tyler Burrows...

Not in this, but it is a quality sign up I must say

An idea for the final could be to; Have the players final seasons stats shown to everyone, then everyone in the sign up could send you a vote for the winner? The if it's a tie, you could make the deciding vote over the whole careers of the players who have drawn in the voting.

Just an idea :)

I'm A SI Forummer... Get Me Out Of Here - The Grand Final

Ant: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to this, the live final of this season's competition

Dec: Yes, welcome, and I'm sure you'll all agree that this is going to be very exciting

Ant: Now, here to illuinate us all on the rules for the grand final, here is the current holder of the I'm a Celebrity title, Eastenders actor Joe Swash!!!

Swash: Oi oi... Right then. The grand final is divided into six stages. The competitors will be ranked 1-4 on their performance in each event and the totals will be added to find this year's champion...

Stage 1: The Canoe Race

Each contestant will be given a tree branch, a paddle and a very sharp spoon. The first participant to hollow out the log, make a seaworthy canoe, and paddle it down the rapids to the end of the course, will get four points. The second contestant to finish will get three... etc

(In FM terms, first one to score or create a goal!)

Stage 2: The Locust Swallowing Challenge

Each contestant will be forced to lie on their backs, with their eyes closed and their mouths open. Another contestant will then drop locusts into their gaping mouths one by one, until they cannot take any more. The participant who swallows the most locusts will get four points...

In FM terms, this means don't get booked!

Stage 3: The Clean Sheet Challenge

Each week, one of the contestants is put in charge of washing all of the laundry for the camp. The candidate who completes the washing in the shortest amount of time to the satisfaction of our adjudicator - who, for this task, will be I'm A Celebrity failure, and former daytime TV presenter, Robert Kilroy-Silk.

(Exactly what it says in the title!)

Stage 4: The Consistency Test

The scores for all the trials that these four competitors have taken part in will be added up, and placed in rank order

(This is your career average rating)

Stage 5: Can You Perform Under Pressure?

All four contestants will be standing on a wobbly bridge suspended 10 metres above a lake. Robert Kilroy Silk will bomard the candidates with instructions to perform various acrobatic moves, whilst (a potential future contestant as rumour has it) Mr T. will fire rubber balls at them from our patented Rubba-Cannon...

This is your average rating over the 2016 World Cup

And finally...

Stage 6: The Public Vote

Again, exactly what it says on the tin. A poll shall be taken, and the contestants given points dependendant on how popular they are...

So the final four are....

Tyler Burrows
Beat Takeshi
Henry Windsor
Sylvester McCoy

Results to come...

Blanco
30-12-2008, 21:41
Stage One Results:

Takeshi wins this one, with a hattrick of assists in his first game of the final season. Henry Windsor scores 8 minutes into Chelsea's second game of the season, a 2-2 draw at Goodison. McCoy scores in the 66th minute of the same game to claim third place. Burrows (as a goalie) was always going to struggle with this one..

Stage Two Results:

Takeshi is also the first person to be booked, with Burrows following closely behind... Windsor gets booked for diving in the seventh game of the season, meaning that McCoy gets maximum points.

Stage Three Results:

Takeshi's Barcelona concede in the first twenty seconds of the season, but still win 6-1. Not even Chelsea can hold out till half time, but Tyler Burrrows and Sylvester McCoy get their clean street.

Scores so far:

Windsor: 3 + 3 + 2 = 8
McCoy: 2 + 4 + 3 = 9
Burrows: 1 + 2 + 4 = 7
Takeshi: 4 + 1 + 1 = 6
