Checked the club confidence section there and under the summary says this:

"The fans think your signing of (Particular GK that I can't name for LLaMa'a sake) has been an aberration." (Or words to that effect).

This is the dictionary definition of Aberration:

NOUN

1. the act of departing from the right, normal, or usual course.

2. the act of deviating from the ordinary, usual, or normal type.

3. deviation from truth or moral rectitude.

4. mental irregularity or disorder, esp. of a minor or temporary nature; lapse from a sound mental state.

Class - the fans think they have a mental patient at the helm.

...They're not wrong.

when it comes to football fans though 4 is much more likely.

The thing is - he's playing well, we've yet to lose a match and he is described by my Ass Man (Judging CA/PA = 18) as a "Quality Player/Twice the player of our next best GK"

I've played through hundreds of seasons on FM and never seen this remark.

It's strange, you could play this game for years and not uncover all the wee hidden gems within....

As for this post - It's season 1 in the game and there is no way fans would know what my "Normal Course" would be.

I think they're basing their opinion on their own judgement of the player himself....

You didn't sign him from a rival club, did you? Fans don't like that much.

I've had that before too and my club has no rival clubs so it's not affected by that, you don't even need that low a rating for it, my player had 6.40 as he had only come on as sub up till then, amusingly enough he is now in the clubs all time favourites.
