Scouting/Youth Team

Now i think i'm correct that sending your scouts out and about can mean foreign players appearing in your youth squad when you get the new influx each season but i'm wondering if having scouts actually gets you better quality players each season in your youth set up or not?

i would say the players generated at this point would be random.

Seems even your manager nationality affects the nationality of youth team players as well - I started as an Italian manager in Iceland and had a 15 year old Italian kid come through my youth setup first season :confused:

Also the nationality of your staff might have an effect.

I've seen foreign players appear in the youth team for several nationalities. As Fulham I had signed many French players for a couple seasons and French players began appearing in my youth setup, and I usually end up signing many Spanish or Italian coaches and can only think that's the reason for Spanish or Italian youths randomly appearing. I had read in a thread before someone claiming they had players appear in their youth setup a year after they played a series of preseason friendlies in that country, I've tried it before but haven't had much luck with it.
