Just how dumb are my board?

I am currently on the ridiculous wage of 165,000 grand a year, my contract is up in one year so the board offer me a 2 year deal on 275,000 a year, I negotiate to have it on 165,000 they come back with the 275,000 I negotiate again back down to 165,000 they give me a final offer of 275,000 ? what kind of clowns are they?..... 275,000 a week!

You can't negotiate your wages down, so it's not your dumb board. Anyway it makes no difference, "our" wages are not counted I think.

yeh it doesnt count in your wage budget but comes off the total bank balance. annoying that you cant ask for £1 but then again no manager would. its just like IRL if they want to keep a manager they offer them a good contract.

Now I might be wrong, but I thought Stuart Pearce turned down an improved contract at Man City stating he felt he didn't deserve it, something like that....... Anyway, going from 165,000 to 275,000...... why can't I just extend on the same basic wage, I actually didn't win anything this season, so I feel like I don't deserve it

lol i always ask for more with arsenal im greedy but i deserve it haha. currently on 375k after 10 seasons, they stopped jumping it up by loads after my 4th contract. now its just the odd 10k or so.
