There are no activation codes with Football Manager 2008. Either you don't have a genuine copy or you have purchased the wrong game (I'm guessing FIFA Manager 08 would have a code as it's EA, if I remember correctly). There is something very fishy going on here, activation codes are only needed for legally downloaded versions of the game. Take it back and ask for a real copy.
