Urgent Football Manager 2008 PC question

So me and my friend are playing a LAN game but we have a very bizarre problem.

Whenever I load the game up and he tries to connect, the game connects him as a new unemployed manager.

How can he make the game understand that he is the previous manager who was playing?

Example: I host a game with a manager called 1

He joins and creates a manager Called 2

we want to play tomorrow so I save the game.

The time has passed and today is yesterday's tomorrow and I load the game up, he put the IP and press connect but the game show this:

1 - Playing

2 - Disconnected

New user - Playing

and each time he connects it keeps saying New user.

How can i solve this? It must be like this when he connects:

1 - Playing

2 - Playing

Please reply university starts soon for my friend its maybe the last time we would be able to play !!

I don't play online so don't really know but you get more help by asking in this thread.

Just get him to click the word "Disconnected" and he will become that manager, scrapping the new one. Have fun.
