What influences staff attribute changes?

What makes my scouts and coaches' attributes rise? It would make sense if the coaches' attributes were linked to facilities, but I can't think what makes the scouts improve.

I've never actually seen them improve. My scouts attributes stay the same as they was at the start of the game.

They do improve. Like players they have a current ability and potential ability so they can improve.

i keep getting them then they get worse and they i dont have 7 star coaches anymore llol.annnoying! dontknow why they change though.

Adaptability?

In the booklet that comes with the game it mentions that determination is a good indicatoe of a coachs willingness to improve himself. I always try to get coaches with a high attribute in determination but I've never really noticed any changes.

I once had a coach go from 6 stars to 7 stars in set piece training. That was nice.

I seem to notice an improvement in abilities from a number of former players when they fully retire. Also, I have had my scouts abilities improve (sometimes, not always), particularly with a lot of scouting work. jod123 would be correct I feel.

Coaches usually improve on the stats needed for their training assignments. Many times my 5 or 6 star coaches have moved one star up. Scouts, I dunno

A lot of staff have an equal rating for ca/pa so they never change, when you do find/hire someone with a difference between the two ratings what they are doing influences attribute improvements.

Scouts get both Judging skills whilst scouting, tactical knowledge if they are providing "next opponent" reports

Coaches/Assman get coaching skills according to whichever coaching aspect you have assigned them too. They will get Tactical Knowledge if they are managing Youth/Reserves along with Motivation/Man Management.

Ive never seen Determination/Discipline change, in either direction.

Regarding staff whose PA=CA, I have seen their attributes change surprisingly. I'm guessing that maybe they lost a few points somewhere and gained others elsewhere.

I've never noticed anyone get better, only get worse and then their stats return to the level they originally were sometimes. Unless I'm not paying enough attention?
