HELP i think this may spoil my FM experiance

Recently just got a new internet provider. trouble is when i run Fm as a server for my mates to join i now have 2 ip addresses. i know mine is the 2nd one but when FM has two listed no one can ever join.

How do we get around this?

Tried using hamachi?

it could be that the game has stored his old IP and now has identified his new IP as a seperate computer. which seems plausible. but hamachi is the best way to do this things anyway.

the first ip is your computers static ip adress

these two ips occur when you have a router

give the the second one to your mates

thats your outgoing ip adress

(should be something like 86.36.0.1 or something like that)

should work if you've correctly opened the ports

thanks, how would i know if i opened the ports correctly.? i just connected my new router as normal and it always has 2 listed.

one of the links in it called portforwarding.com/routers or something is really helpful in showing you how to open ports

i think if you have a router you have to open the 10093 and 1004 ports

had a look on the list. there isnt an fm08 listed. the last one was 06 etc

I'd download Hamachi if i were you. Just whack the Hamachi into google and click on their website.

Then download the hamachi client, and make sure your mate has it.

It's pretty obvious from there.

Hamachi is a godsend for things like this. Saves a lot of hassle.

well iv down oaded the hamachi. m8 is off shore at mo so wont get to test it untill he is back. i keep getting asked to purchase the full version, do i need to do that.?
