wardog
Ok ive noticed this a few times, expessially when a player is out of form. Theyll shoot and score. On the way its deflected you think YES my top striker is going to be back to form now. But nope because the player who accidently deflected it gets it put as an own goal. He was just in the way IRL the player who hit it first would get credit.
mark wilson27
depends how much the deflection was, if the ball was heading to a point were it wouldnt have gone in its counted as an own goal, if the ball was heading towards goal it will be credited to the striker of the ball

Blackcats
This is something I hope the 3d match engine will make easier to determine. Becuase with the current 2d engine you can't really see what actually happened, for all you know the defender sliced a clearence straight into the goal. weeeman27bob
I get quite a lot of shots, that either get deflected slightly, or pass very close to players, but i get very few own goals.
