Whenever I am starting a career game I start unemployed. You could try that and see what jobs come up.

Unemployed, only way to enjoy FM

Yeah but i've started loads of career games and I always start unemployed. I'd like something different.

Maybe go on holiday for 6 months then start applying for jobs?

Also in the challenge sub-forum there is a great thread going, people in there might be more of a help for you?

How do you know these things lmao. Another question, what's better, Conference North or South?

I started in Northern Ireland with Chimney Corner and am massively enjoying it but if you want to start in England then you could also do what i did and edit a team like King's Lynn into the conference north or south, swap them for the worst team, that was also highly enjoyable.

You can always start dafuge's challenge...

Or maybe try and keep Derby in the EPL.

I empty my brain of things that may help me IRL, so I can learn more about FM :D

Conference North, I'd say.

FM 09 - Derby are relegated, right?

Anyway, I would've said go for trying to keep Hull City in the EPL.

The OP is talking about FM08, though. :)

QPR are rich or why not a blue square South/North or a struggling Premier team or a team like Arsenal.

Whatever you think is best.

My bad.

Anyway, I feel you should try and go for a team that are predicted to finish last in their league, and keep them up - then build on it in the following years.

What? Everyone knows South is better than North!
