Player left the club outside of the transfer window

I am manager of German club Magdeburg, and Fluminese bid for one of my players on 16th March - over a month after the close of the transfer window. How come the player has left immediately and not at the end of the season??

maybe because it was in the transfer window of brazil.

Was he out of contract?

Transfer windows are at different times for different countries - you can leave so long as it is the transfer window in the country you are moving to.

Yes, the player moved to Brazil - I didn't realise you could sell to another country outside of your own transfer window.

Your transfer window affects only transfers in.

Note that you can control this, by adjusting the time of the transfer. For example, you might have had as options:

- Next Available

- End of Season (Germany)

- End of Season (Brazil)

You could have held the player through the end of the German season by selecting the appropriate entry.

(I like setting up most of my transfers months in advance, so I use this facility a lot.)

i had a player leaves outside the transfer window , i sold david poole to kettering for 26k on 3-10-2007 so more than a month outside the window. so are blue square north teams allowed to operate outside the transfer window?

BSN/S IIRC use the old system where the window is open till March
