July 07 ............................................................................................ - Beckham reveled as Bergkamp FC club captain. Lucas Neill vice-captain - Transfers IN : Epworth Town buy Rafinha(4.1m) Transfers OUT : MJGB Allstars sell Khizanishvili to Deportivo (3m) - First pre-season match away vs Blackpool. Agbonlahor opened the scoring in the 4th minute. Half time subsitute Dong Fangzhuo (on for Berbatov) scored twice. Blacpool got a late consolation goal. - 2nd pre-season friendly, home vs Barnsley. Berbatov makes his mark with two goals, Agbonlahor scores another. Nice pre-season going into the charity shield match. - 3rd pre-season match(August), neutral ground for the Charity Shield vs Ridleys's Wonders. Berbatov scores early, first official goal for the club. Robbie Keane equalises for Ridley's. Half time and all stats are very even. Almost from the tip-off, Berbatov scores again. 20 minutes later, he gets his hat-trick. The final whistle blows, and Bergkamp FC come out as winners. Premiership Winner - Epworth Town Relegated - Sauber FC, Ridleys Wonders, FC Bradbury FA Cup Winner - Tampones Unio League Cup - Strathcarnage Community Shield - Bergkamp FC none of us won a european comp. player of season - Berbatov young player of season - fabregas manager of season - D.Crickmer Bergkamp FC were consistently in the top 4 for most of the season, but near the end ran out of steam. finished in a dissapointing 8th place, but won the Charity Shield (at least thats some silverware) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
