Making The Most Out Of The Demo

I still play Fm 08 a little, but its got to that stage where i am bored of it.

The new Fm sounds great, and i have never looked forward to a new version of Fm as i do currently.

I am not sure when the demo will be released, but i want it to take up most of my time, so i intend to watch every game on Full highlights, that way i will only play a handful of games per day, and I'm hoping that the 6 months will last me until release day.

What do you intend to do to make the most out of the demo, or can you happily wait for the final release?

Oh, I'll probably the complete the demo like 76000 times before the full release. No idea who to start with though. I'm planning to start out with Arsenal in the full release, and then Wolves, so I won't be playing as one of those in the demo. I actually have no idea who I'll start with, maybe Stockport or Oldham.

I'll play the demo. I use it to find good players, good staff, assess my team that I'm likely to play as(Arsenal, Watford).

I like to play a lot of games quickly, so I can see who's got better and worse, make some bad decisions to help me learn for the full game...

Although I normally use the first game as a proper game, to try out the new features in a proper game.

Oh, yeh, I'll assess Arsenal 'till there ain't nothing left to assess.

Oh, wait. I'll play with Bradford in the demo.

Ill play with many LL sides to assess them and work out what to do when I get the game!

i hope the demo wont disappoint me and of course the opposite thing shouldn't happen as well the demo will be so good that i will suffer until i can get my hands on the real game

i won't get into the demo too much, as last year there were many issues regarding placing the demo gamesave into the fm08 games folder and continuing with hte full game, and i'd hate to have to replay 6 months because there are issues. i don't think anyone will be disappointed with the demo, but i for one will still play fm08 until, and possibly after, the full release.

With the demo is it till december or is it one season?? Because a good challenge would be to try and luton promoted with them being on -30 from the start.

im gonna play all out of it..im gonna look whats the difference of a man and a woman and stuff all the talk **** and i wanna see what is bugged so i can complain nah its more to help them

Will play the MLS as every single team playable in the league and examine every single little aspect of the league . Don't worry, if there's bugs in FM09, I will complain

I'll just press the randomize button. I think given the new changes it's worth maybe managing a top team (Barca, Arsenal, Juve) AND a lower league team ( Bari, Barnet, Verona) It would also be worth managing an international team just so you can get a view from the outside and see your domestic rival teams play more.

When the demo comes out I'll jump straight into a game with Man United who I support, assess how the players' abilities compare this year and watch out for any changes in positions from 08 (possibly Hargreaves, Ronaldo, Rooney) so that I can work out the best line-up/formation well ahead of the full game. I'll try a few different tactics to hopefully prepare for some success with the full game. I'll possibly play one save with the squad as it is, which I tend to prefer, and one with some additions so I can get used to the transfer system. Then once I've completed six months (x2?) with them I'll try some other Premiership teams before moving to Spain and Italy and maybe elsewhere. Basically, I'll look for a good grounding in the game and enjoy all the new features while i'm at it.

I'll probably have two games. Just to test out the media.

Create one manager who is an absolute idiot and the other a nice fella.

First thing I have to do is storm out of a press conference with my angry manager

Other than that, I'll try to not get into it too much.

I'll carry on playing FM06 and ignore the demo like I always do

Chances are i'll end up starting a game i intend to continue with when the full game is released, most likely with Watford and then perhaps a 2nd game which shall also be continued with another side, the patch that's often released after the full game is always save game compatable so that shant be an issue.

I think I'll just use the demo to try out all the new features and to see what the new 3D match engine is like. That way I'll be ready to dive right into a challenge game when the full version hits the streets.

Probably play with some rich teams to get the hang of the new features then start a new one with Leeds. Then wait for the full game to come out and resume. Then play it until I either get sacked or can't take them any further. The start again.

I fine tune my tactics with the demo and use it also to hunt down the new wonderkids.

Who is this "mighty Chelsea" you speak of and what league are they in?

i will be crewe and will use the demo as a practice for the final game regarding transfers,new features, tactics etc.

maybe start in brazil see if theres any decent brazilians... load spurs up to analyse their team & stats mess with tactics in friendlys maybe then quit wait till full game to play that. search wonderkids and do a random league see how it goes and assess new features! can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!

I shall spend the 6 months of the demo assessing my Leicester squad and looking for players to bring in when the game is released.

Might see how much I can get for Mattock and Kisnorbo too.

might load brazil as well actually and try and find wonderkids from across the globe.

Play around with tactics etc, see whats new.

Sucks when you're deep into the game and it ends after the 6 months.

I fancy starting in League 2 this year, so i'll have a sneak look through some sides, and have a wee scout through some players and free transfers who will come to a league 2 side.....

PS: any ideas on when the demo is coming out?

I'll probably start out as a top team (probably Man Utd) and get the hang of all the new features etc and then manage a lower league team.

I'll play as Watford to learn about the changes in the game and then possibly a team in the BSS/BSN to see how lower leagues are.

I won't be continuing with any game I start on the demo as I'll be playing dafuge's challenge as soon as he sets it up.

Not going to bother with the demo, its generally released about 2 weeks prior to the game so not much point, I will just read peoples comments on it on here and just bide my time till the postie comes knocking with my FM in hand.

I'll ignore the demo and probably not show my face around here.

Makes it more exciting when the full thing arrives...
