i am fed up managers accepting bids on players i don't want to sell ,maybe an ultimatum option would be good ,you know your going along finances excellent then bang Starr player sold from under you it's so annoying so c'mon si do something

This subject has been brought up so many times that I am sure SI will have tweaked it for FM09.

The feature NEEDS to remain, as it adds realism, but the game only seems to take into account the situation at the beginning of the game. If your club has £100million in the bank it should leave ALL transfers to the manager. The chairman should only step in if the club balance is either in jeapardy or has less than, say, £10million banked. The chairman's interferrence level should be flexible and depend on events, not maintain the mentality of a L1 owner when you are on the brink of Champions League qualification.
