aenariel Posted September 10, 2008 Share Posted September 10, 2008 One thing I found odd in FM08 is that all youth players are on a contract, and you have to pay a compensation fee to set them loose. While this doesn't bother me if I play with a big/rich team, in the lower leagues it's somewhat concerning, because we have no ability whatsoever to control how many youths we get each season AND how much they'll be earning. To add to the oddness, an amateur team does not pay a dime to their youths; however, a semi-pro team, even if they have all their senior players on amateur contracts, still pay their youths - something that does not make sense IMHO. I find myself sometimes paying a lot more for my youth team than my senior team because of this. @SI: Are there any plans to change this for 09?
