Preference help needed!

How to u enable Threading in preferences because it speed's up the game!

Go into preferences and you should see the tick box and tick it. If it is greyed out and won't allow you then you don't have a computer that will allow it.

Ticking the threading option in preferences.

This is what it says in the game manual about it:

"This option is only available if your PC possesses threading capabilities. Threading makes one single processor behave like two logical processors. When enabled, this allows the processor to execute multiple threads simultaneously, which will produce a significant performance improvement."

but its only available if you have a dual core machine (or higher) so if its greyed out, you cant use it...

No as your computer then does not have the capability to do this.

Not strictly true - you can also use threading if you have a CPU (or CPUs) that has HT (Hyper-Threading) support. I am running FM on a dual-CPU machine (twin 3GHz Intel Xeons with HT) and I'm using threading.
