The Braintree Town Experiment

Recommended Posts

With Braintree im reducing my wage bills as much as possible and improving only youth and training facilties.

I am testing to see whether i can hold on a few years and wait for facitlies to develop and then shoot up the leagues when i get top-class youth players.

I started out with Poor facilties

As of the 2011-12 season i have

Fairly basic training facilties

Basic youth facilties

For 2007-08 i won the BSS

and im still currently in the BSP since

my facilities are being upgraded from the start of the 2011-12 season

Each season my total wages per week for my whole squad come to around £3,000 and im still a semi-professional club.

I currently have around £950k in the bank which increases from £150k to £350k per season.

My aim is to have a team full of youth players with incrediable CAs and PAs and only be paying them around £25 per week

Hate to ruin your optimism, but in my experience your average regen youth player will only have a PA of about 130 with State of the art youth facilities + youth academy. Should be better than what you already have though, but without money to hire proper trainers you are unlikely to see them reach even this level.
