Pre Ordering!

Does anyone know where and when you can pre-order FM09?

Probably on Play,GAME and Amazon among others.

If you're really desperate to play, don't bother pre-ordering. If it's anything like the last few years, one store will break the release date a few days in advance, then all the other stores will join in, and everyone who's preordered is left waiting til the Friday in the hope that their game turns up.

I can't remember the last time I walked into Game on the Wednesday/Thursday before an FM release, and didn't see the game for sale on their shelves.

But the thing is, I'd like to pre-order it to make sure I can get the game. I won't be able to buy the game on the release day because I'll be in school and i'd like to make sure I get it before shops sell out.

I've pre-ordered FM07, 08 and now 09. 07 and 08 came early and were both before shop release.

Im unsure whether to pre-order or just go down Tesco and buy it. Last 2 years Ive gone down Tesco on release day and Ive managed to buy it, and I get the impression that if I pre-order I will get it late as so many will be pre-ordered

Could this mean some level of licensing from them?

The company will obviously order enough to accomadate the amount of pre-orders. I find pre-order to be better.

Yes but a lot of people pre-ordered it last year and they recieved their game a couple of days or so before the game came out in the shops.

I'm also going to pre-order in the hope of actually getting the game early , whats the best sites for preordering guys ?

I'm going to use GAME. As it has £10.00 off and is £29.99 instead of the usual price of £39.99.

I'd say Play.com..personally, i find it very trustworthy.

shopto.net have it for 24.99 currently. used them a couple of years ago and it arrived 2 days before release. Have found them pretty reliable so far.

i might take half a day off work to go get it

£30 sounds like alot, as ive only really paid £20 for CM and FM games, but its a game ill play alot, so why not

i'm gonna want to pre-order aswell as i don't know how well it'll sell here

I'd recommend your local big supermarket that sells games. They hardly, hardly ever sell out of big items on the first day. I got FM08 at Tesco day of release and there were plenty of copies and at a great price. I'll be doing that again this year. That gives me a chance to get the game, some munchies and juice to keep me going and hole myself up for the next week solid.

play.com are taking pre-orders. I've just ordered mine even though I had planned on waiting until the January update. After seeing last night's presentation I couldn't wait.

just a note to say that the FM09 price is expexcted to be higher than last year's price

FM08 was available for £24.99. most shops have it for £29.99 this year

This year's FM worths every single penny...

Until a few weeks ago, game.co.uk also had it for 24.99.

They bumped it up since.

I've preordered 2 from Play at £29.99p each.

Had a feeling it would go up a few quid if on DVD, still good value tho - albeit play using the oldsave £10.00p line is a cracker, they sell nothing at RRP anyway.
