To all those looking forward to playing with Man City in 09:

To be completely realistic their should be at least £300m transfer Budget and £5m weekly wage budget.

However the team expectations should be unbelievably high as IRL.

Surely the only feasible way to have a long term career ( in game ) at City would be to reach the champions league final each season and win at least 2 other trophies. Anything else under the new regime will ( probably ) be deemed as failure=Sacked.

Gonna be one hell of a challenge though.

As i mentioned in an another thread, a City game will be doubtless exciting.

Lots of money, so you can buy anyone you want virtually.

However, with money, comes expectations. The new owners have stated they will not settle for 9th places and entering Europe through the Fair Play League. They want titles. And they want it fast.

I believe Mark Hughes has the calibre to do this IRL, but do you?

This is already the case with Chelsea in fmo8.

If it's anything like Chelski in FM08 the first season will be a breeze but the 2nd season much harder.

As for budgets etc, expectations should take into account money spent. FM08 had a stab at doing this but board confidence was ridiculous. Once you win a trophy you are expected to win it the following season too. If Man U won all six of their remaining trophies this season would they be expected to pick them all up next?

I say, keep the question at the beginning of the season and have that set your budget as it does now. Just keep it up and don't have the board expect success in every area.

The maximum "expectation" should be a Premiership Challenge. No more IMO.
