However the team expectations should be unbelievably high as IRL. Surely the only feasible way to have a long term career ( in game ) at City would be to reach the champions league final each season and win at least 2 other trophies. However, with money, comes expectations. The new owners have stated they will not settle for 9th places and entering Europe through the Fair Play League. They want titles. And they want it fast. backpackant Posted September 3, 2008 Share Posted September 3, 2008 If it's anything like Chelski in FM08 the first season will be a breeze but the 2nd season much harder. As for budgets etc, expectations should take into account money spent. FM08 had a stab at doing this but board confidence was ridiculous. Once you win a trophy you are expected to win it the following season too. If Man U won all six of their remaining trophies this season would they be expected to pick them all up next? I say, keep the question at the beginning of the season and have that set your budget as it does now. Just keep it up and don't have the board expect success in every area.
