WBA4LIFE
This thread will be about my Kidderminster Harriers FC Career on FMH2008 ( no updates ). As i am already into my 6th season I will give a quick update on how things have been going: Season League Board Target Final Position Season 1 - Blue Square Premier - Respectable League Position - 9th ( I think cant really remember ) Season 2 - Blue Square Premier - Respectable League Position - 1st Season 3 - League 2 - Fight Bravely against relegation - 1st Season 4 - League 1 - Fight Bravely against relegation - 1st Season 5 - Championship - Fight Bravely against relegation - 5th ( Beat Southampton 1-0 in playoff final which you will see is in LSD's best/worst results thread! ) Season 6 - Premiership - Stay clear of relegation - Currently 8th* * I am currently 8th after playing 24 games. So 4 successive promotions have bought the mighty force of kidderminster to the premier league. The Squad at the end of season 5: GKS : Ross Turnbull, Dean Coleman, Geoff Charles Defenders : Harry Kay, Rory Morrison, Joshua Parker, Gavin Poole, Mark Creighton, George James Midfielders : Ben Blackburn, Joshua Hopkinson, Junior Turner, Bryan Hughes, Grant Dixon, Alex Richards, Daniel Castro, Alan Dunne, Lloyd Coleman, Lance Gray, Sonny Evans, Andy Ritchie Strikers : Lee Barnard, Russel Boulding, John Cunliffe, Terry Mason, Danny Lescott ( 122 goals in 3 seasons! ) So far in season 6: Transfers in: Name From Amount David Sanchez Sevilla Free Hosain Kaebi Birmingham Free Jamie Carragher Middlesborough Free Sergio Gonzalez Valencia Loan Ishmael Miller Man City Loan Rob Smits FC Twente £90k Ishmael Heath Farsley £14k Transfers Out: Name To Amount Daryl Turner Covenry £1.1M Danny Lescott* Ipswich £1.4M Mark Creighton - Free * Danny Lescott was brought in season 2 for 16k, he scored 135 in 198 games, but wasn't good enough for the prem so was sold for almost 100 times as much as was paid for him. I will update at the end of season six and then every half season from then on. Please feel free to ask any questions and give me tips on how to improve my threads/posts or any problems! Thanks for reading.
LSD
Firstly, thanks for advertising my thread Secondly, do you think that the Harriers are strong enough to compete in the top 10 of the Prem?
WBA4LIFE
Well I certainly hope so. I've got a very yound squad with a few experienced players in the starting team and in my opinion, I have some players who could walk into most of the regular top 10 teams. The teams current league position after 25 games is 8th so this shows that we can contend with some of the strong teams in the league.
LSD
Do you think that your squad is flexible enough to switch formation in a split second should the score reflect the match that may require a different approach?
WBA4LIFE
Well my squad is quite big so can cover most injuries and with the formation changes, i do have players who can play in many different positions. For example if I wanted to change from three defenders to four and only had CB's on the bench, I could move either Jamie or Rory into the full back positions. This is the same for my midfield as I have some very useful versatile players who can be called upon in different positions, and play effectively there. WBA4LIFE
Injury crisis at Aggborough! 6 first team players were injured in a very short space of time: Joshua Parker Jamie Carragher Daniel Castro Sonny Evans Grant Dixon Ishmael Heath As 4 of these players are my midfield line, I'm going to have to stretch my 'flexibility' to the max! NffcBash
Rumours are circulating that you may be about to quit Aggborough due to the limited resources you have avaible. Clubs such as Aston Villa, Man City and Newcastle are all reportedly on standby and prepared to replace their current managers should it happen. Is this true? WBA4LIFE
with so many injuries lately, what do you feel your chances are for getting into europe? I feel as if my chances of Europe have faltered slightly towards the end of the season due to the unfortunate injuries. However I feel my team has done well under the circumstances and i am proud of there efforts in the league. Will we get into Europe? At this moment in time I would say that was unlikely. WBA4LIFE
Rumours are circulating that you may be about to quit Aggborough due to the limited resources you have avaible. Clubs such as Aston Villa, Man City and Newcastle are all reportedly on standby and prepared to replace their current managers should it happen. Is this true? Those rumours are 100% untrue. I'm honoured to be linked with such clubs but I have full faith that the Chairman will give me the required resources to achieve our goals as soon as the money becomes available. I know we are not a rich club, but I can tell you that recently our finances have greatly improved and I have been assured that if our finances stay at the current level, I will be given more money to use. WBA4LIFE
after your fa cup success you will be in the euro cup next year so surely you can expect the chairman to flash the cash a bit more? I feel as if I have shown the chairman what I can achieve without much money so I hope I will be given a good transfer budget for next season to show what I can do with money and establish Kidderminster Harriers as one of the biggest teams in England.
