Play one game on different computers

Recommended Posts

Hello all !

I've created a game and I'd like to play it on different computers.

When I try to load it on a PC where it has not been created on, I get an error message saying that the database can't be found.

It has to be related to fact the windows accounts names are not the same and that the path to the data files is different (because of the username).

Is there a way to fix that ?

Thanks.

PS : I have a specific DB...

make sure both pc's have the same version of the game, and the same database installed on each. will probably mean copying the db over from original pc to the 2nd one as well as the game.

I've seen the exact same thing. The saved game does not recognise the database on a different computer to the one it was created on, even if the database is ported over.

Whether than matters depends on how much you edited the database - if you changed club names, etc, they'd be lost, whereas if it was players, they would be saved in the save game file and it wouldn't matter. Either way, you can ignore the error message and play anyway, you might just lose some of your edits.
