Ashley has so far been shrewd in the transfer market signing no less than 6 players. These include free transfers Alan Maybury, Jamie Clapham, Arron Fray, Nick Chadwick, Lloyd Dyer and £40,000 Alfie Potter. Craig Mackail Smith has joined Charlton for £150,000 which has given Ashley funds to play with.
