Pablo1986
Currently managing Brighton in the first season and suffered a terrible start, winning just 2 of the first 10 games and dropping to 20th in the table (noting that 3 teams in League One start on minus points!). However, around Christmas I've just won 3 on the trot including a 2-0 away win at so far unbeaten Leeds... I'm starting to fill with hope that maybe I could mount a late challenge for the playoffs and get the board and fans off my back. A disappointing display in the cups means a lowly league position may well seal my fate. What's your biggest turn around from a terrible start? I think my problem stems from having a dodgy 'keeper, Michel Kuipers. Stupidly, I thought Russell Holt would be the solution to this problem.... d'oh!! Ryan,,,
I think my problem stems from having a dodgy 'keeper, Michel Kuipers. What!? How dare you say that about the FDM!!!!
Pablo1986
What does FDM stand for?! Tbh I think the whole of the Brighton team's crap, but then I am a Swindon fan!
Nomis07
In Germany you play the full league cup and the first round of the German Cup before the start of the league season. In my second season at FC Bayern I lost 4-0 against bitter rivals VFB Stuttgart in the QF of the League Cup and 1-0 against a non league team in the first round of the German Cup, very very poor and the board and fans were rightly po'd. I managed to gain their support again by going 33 league game unbeaten and only losing in the final game of the season using a youth team, and getting to the semis of the CL. I'll never get over that loss to a non league team and winning the league just didn't make up for it.
Ryan,,,
Former Dutch Marine. I was Diagoras, I had 5 or 4 points after the first nine games, switched to 5-3-2 with wing-backs, finished 6th.
DB1
Best turnaround in a match was when, as liverpool, played chelsea in epl. 2-0 down with 3 mins left. had been pushing players forward but just went for it. through the kitchen sink at em. 5 man front line 4 man midfield and thibk it was hyypia at back. pulled one back through benayoun, then voronin on 89 mins. A draw i would have been happy with. Was trying to change tactics and pull a defender back when up popped gerrard with a drive into the top corner "He loves to Power them in!" Final whistle blew and i just sat there in shock!
Klimowicz
i was 0-4 down at home to Barcelona at half time. i pulled it back to 4-4 with a 93rd minute, blatantly offside goal, won 1-0 at the nou camp and won my first CL title with Arsenal. Nomis07
Here's a few of my best match turnarounds - http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm248/Nomis07/Rostock-Bayern.jpg http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm248/Nomis07/Liverpool-Bayern.jpg http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm248/Nomis07/HSV-Bayern.jpg http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm248/Nomis07/Frankfurt-Bayern.jpg http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm248/Nomis07/Amazing.jpg The Frankfurt one isn't much of a turnaround, but just a demonstration that 4-2-4 can work for us too, the Barcelona one is probably the best after being hammered 3-0 away in the first leg. tdc5013
I lost 5-2 to barca in the first leg of the CL semis, won 4-0 the next leg. We only needed 3. I was genuinely astounded, I was watching so glumly until we got our first goal, and even then I thought that'd just be it. But we ended the night 4-0 and into the final.
