Game installation problems

Recommended Posts

Some more info would help.

But as a start:-

Put the FM disc in.

Cancel the 'autorun' at whatever point it is possible.

Right click your CD/DVD drive and select 'Open'.

Right click 'setup.exe' (exe may or may not be visible) and select 'Run As Administrator'.

Do not tick the option to have the game start once it installs.

Delete the cache files after you uninstall

Vista: C:\Users\<username>\App Data\Roaming\Sports Interactive

You'll need to turn on your hidden files and folders to find these, go to a folder and go - 'Tools - Folder Options - View' and make sure 'show hidden files and folders' is selected.

Also make sure all traces of FM are removed after the uninstall (I've had to manually delete certain folders in Program Files/Sports Interactive)
