sheeshy
that I have had plans for a new stadium blocked. Or does it just mean that im going to get another expansion next year. It comes eventually, not always in the next year or so.
rinso
providing the ground hasnt already reached its expansion capoacity, i would keep trying for it... either youll eventually get it, or the board will decide to build a new one
11Clarkie11
And i've downloaded an editor to see how much more my stadium can be expanded, Capacity 46538 Epansion Capacity 47000 Does this mean it can be expanded TO 47000 or a FURTHER 47000. Thanks for replies so far.
rinso
UP TO 47000.. so its time to be hoping for a new stadium...
11Clarkie11
:):) Ive never had a new stadium before. And the race for naming rights is on Both me and Rafael Sobis are registered as the Highest favourites in the club. Fingers crossed for my name to be put on it. if it ever gets built
rinso
lol it may take some time, but you should get it, especially seeing as youre already at capacity in your current ground. hows the clubs finances and attendances?
11Clarkie11
Balance- 453 Million Avg. Attendance- 45219 I asked the board and they agreed it kneeds expanding :). What do you think rinso?
rinso
well, im purely goin on guesswork, cos its never happened to me, but lookin at that, you're prime for a new stadium... shouldnt take long, hopefully.. although as an architect, i know what a set of muppets the local councils are.. so it may be a few years! glamdring
Stadium building or expansion decisions are only ever made once per year at the same time so if you got the message about planning permission being denied without being told your board were building a new stadium you'll have to wait until next year and see if they decide to do it then. It's a bit random to be honest - in my Werder Bremen game I lost a couple of months of play covering the off-season when my laptop went onto battery without me noticing. First time round I just got a refusal of planning permission, but when I replayed it the board announced they were building a new stadium and plunging the club into perilous debt (not a problem for you with 453 million though!) so it seems there is just some trigger that gets tested againist a weighted random number each summer to see if you get a new stadium or not. 11Clarkie11
Ive just had planning permission blocked in June 2009. It's now October so hopefully, come next June, the plans for a new stadium will be ready :).
glamdring
I didn't want a new stadium Sure I wanted more capacity, but since that clearly wasn't possible at my existing stadium I'd rather have just kept things as they are!
11Clarkie11
oh well. I'd love a new stadium.
VonBlade
I've never ever had a new stadium. I've clocked* the balance a load of times, filled my stadium to capacity for countless seasons. Never got a new one VB * clocked lol. I'm obviously showing my age. Can't imagine there are many amongst us who remember the days you could clock a game. Can't imagine there are many who remember when games came with scores. Also do you request expansion every season? If you're at 90%+ capacity (I believe) for the season the board should expand (sometimes this is dependant on finances and sometimes it gets blocked by the idiot council) in the summer ( or whenever the off season is for your team ). Just-Wool
I am 2016 now, double premier league champions, European champions, and I have a full ground every week. Only problem is I am Nottingham forest and I can only get 30,000 a week in there. Plus, they still haven't cleared the £12m loan they had at the start of the game. I only have £83m in the bank - I guess I won't be getting a new stadium any time soon
glamdring
£83 million is no barrier to a new stadium. At Bremen I only had ~£10 million in the bank. The board just took out a vast loan to pay for it all
kristoaster
I'm Forest too, in 2013 trying to get an expansion or new stadium. Stupid council keep blocking me though >_<

Team Franchise 2008
Clocking a game reference! I can't remember the number of times I told a friend I 'clocked it before you did'. Good show.
cimbom89
Clocked was a common phrase used in my younger days, where we used to clock the levels in Super Mario Bros.3 and rush off to school the next day and tell friends about it
