DB11
I just had a game where my CM was sent off in the middle of the park for what the commentary described as a 'Shirt Pull'... however I was shocked when he was then sent off for a 'Cynical Foul'! Has anyone else had some slightly confusing commentary or an unexpected decision during a game?
rinso
my keeper just got sent off for fouling someone outside the box... nothing on highlights for the free-kick... and then i gave away a penalty and didnt get anyone booked! all in the same game! Swindon69
Frankly as far as the commentary is concerned it might as well say "giant purple racoons have savaged the opposition player".
Waken
i guess you had a good chance of appealing the red card
DB11
I appealed it but it wasn't over turned. I said the red card was terrible and I got a touch line ban How are we supposed to know when to appeal when even the commentary gets it wrong? Glyn
Pulling an opponent's shirt is cynical and is a foul. What's the problem?
megafan2005
IMO pulling a shirt in the middle of the park is hardly a cynical challenge tbh
I\'m Brian (and so is my w
I agree; Sending-off Offences A player, substitute or substituted player is sent off if he commits any of the following seven offences: • serious foul play • violent conduct • spitting at an opponent or any other person • denying the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by deliberately handling the ball (this does not apply to a goalkeeper within his own penalty area) • denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity to an opponent moving towards the player’s goal by an offence punishable by a free kick or a penalty kick • using offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures • receiving a second caution in the same match source: http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/affederation/federation/81/42/36/lotg%5fen%5f55753.pdf Only possible way to get a red for shirt-pulling is option 4 'denying a goal' And a second yellow off course. blueglobefootball123
I appealed it but it wasn't over turned. I said the red card was terrible and I got a touch line ban How are we supposed to know when to appeal when even the commentary gets it wrong? I've never ever ever had a red card appeal that was successful - not even worth bothering these days
tdc5013
One of my defenders got booked for an obstruction, just after one of the opposition's players got "a ticking off from the referee" for badly injuring one of my players. Heh..this game, huh?
Ryknow
What most annoys me and that happens alot is when Im clear through on goal and they pull my shirt and i get the freekick but they dont get booked, disgrace.
kevt81
Pulling an opponent's shirt is cynical and is a foul. What's the problem? All too often for me though, when a player is through and the commentry says X pulled Y's shirt, all i ever get is a free kick, no yellow, never mind a red.
