"Corner Exploit" Questions

Hey guys, new to the forum here, not new to FM.

Quick question: What's all this about a "corner exploit" for both the human and AI? I don't want to scroll through 51 pages to find a thread about this, so if someone could briefly explain what this is or point me to the complete discussion, I'd much appreciate it.

Also, is this something that may be fixed for the '09 game?

I don't use it but it is something like this. Put your best header to challenge the goalkeeper and set to your corners to 6 yard box. He should get around 40 goals a season from the corners, from what I heard.

This is something that those who create the game obviously know about, and would try and correct for this year's edition, correct? I definitely am not planning on using that to cheat either way, I just don't want a bug in the game that could benefit me or the AI that much, because that kind of sucks the fun right out of the game.

I'm sure SI know all about the corner exploit as it has been prominent for some time now, and as such, I fully expect that they have taken measures to, at the very least, reduce it's effectiveness in 09

Totally agree. It kinda took the edge off FM 08 for me.

yup they should remove this as in real life this is how people score from corners. But what they should do is reduce it's effectiveness

4-7 goals depending on the quality of player would be enough for the season in my eyes
