Network play issue - changed version mid-game?

Hi,

I've been playig a game online with a friend and we're just into the second season. I've just been on holiday for a couple of weeks and we're tried to carry on with the game again after the break but he is now getting the message 'cannot connect to the server'. I'm sure that its the right IP adress. It says on the 'game status' screen that the game version is 8.0.0 110033 which seems strange as I think it was 8.0 when we started. Is this likely to be the problem and if so is there any way of fixing it?

the default version when you start the game straight out of the box is 8.0.0 110033 just make sure you`re ports are forwarded properly(if you`re using a router) and that it`s the correct ip in game status screen with what it says on www.whatismyip.com
