iamweesel
In future game's,should manager reputation affect the club's reputation and its ability to attract players Do you think it is realistic
chargreaves
Yes, for example when Bryan Robson was Middlesbrough manager in the 90's, and same with Keegan and Newcastle. And probably a lot of other clubs.
philly_flyer10
Yes, many times you see a player say he was attracted to the club because of the manager.
stinger061
Well already the Manager reputation impacts the club's ability to attract players so I don't see how you can separate the two.
iamweesel
Well already the Manager reputation impacts the club's ability to attract players so I don't see how you can separate the two. Any proof, coz I have'nt really seen that anywhere
Glyn
The two reputations won't directly affect each other, but they will have a cumulative effect when trying to attract players.
stinger061
Any proof, coz I have'nt really seen that anywhere It certainly has an effect but mainly in the lower leagues. try starting a game as a lower club with a Sunday league footballer reputation and then again with the same club as an international footballer you will find players more willing to come to you if you have a higher reputation as a manager. I once accidentally started with a high reputation in the lower leagues and couldn't work out why so many players were interested in signing for me
Pricey85
I would say that it is realistic that these two attributes should affect each other. If i were a pro footballer i think i would be more willing to go to a smaller team if they had an inspirational and experienced manager as i would be more inclined to believe that the club had focus and ambition. Conversely i would be skeptical of going to a big club if i felt the manager wasn't up to scratch. So yeah imho it's a realistic feature.
backpackant
It does already. Sign on as an ex-international and you'll sign players more easily than if you are a Sunday-leaguer.
Mike7077
Not only that, managers often have particular staff members they take with them wherever they manage. One example would be Sven-Goran Eriksson and Tord Grip. That should happen in FM.
sleepwalkingpolarbear
They're cumulative. but doesnt really affect their rep long term. I mean paul gascoigne joined some chinese team as manager, yet no-one has heard of them still.
