matt 2403 Posted August 12, 2008 Share Posted August 12, 2008 hi i recently tried to arange a friendly League or/and Cup but who ever i ask they do not accept??? it was preseason as well and i asked everyone and found that all i could get to accept was west ham reserves :| fees were 0 as well ???? i am ipswich and jus finished 6th in season 2 so im pretty respected.... dankrzyz Posted August 12, 2008 Share Posted August 12, 2008 If you are a smaller club, you will definitely need to share a healthy share of the gate receipts with the much higher ranked clubs if you want them to accept your challenge. sydfc4ever Posted August 13, 2008 Share Posted August 13, 2008 i find that this happens a fair bit to me too. i'm sick of clubs rejecting around $A100,000 to play me in a friendly, it just doesn't make any sense, i was Liverpool and wanted to organise an annual cup with my reserves, the recent winners of the Championship and Everton to help my team prepare every year.
