nax
Is there any clickable option to delete the older databases that become obsolete after each patch? Just the 800 db alone is about a hundred 100mb and considering that I don't use it anymore, it takes up quite some space on my harddisk and slows down my defrag and antivirus scans. Would it be safe for me to manually delete 800 and 801? Will it affect any of my saved games? Would be good if SI provides an option to automatically delete outdated databases after each patch. Carradona
100 mb would slow down your defrag and virus scans by roughly 2 seconds. I have no answer to your question tho. You could try and delete them. (should probably make a backup) Trial and error
Thepathtoamen
surely making a back up would defeat the object of the exercise lol. unless it is to disk or cd. But yeah don't reckon 100mb would slow your defrag by much.
Neji
Yeah you can delete them. Id advise just making a backup elsewhere and then deleting the originals. Try running FM and see if all is well. If it is, then you can delete the backups too.
