after managing the same club for about 5 years there can be a slight monotany that comes with it.

Would anyone fancy a feature where crowd violence got clubs from your country banned from europe for a season (and all the good players moving to a different country) or your star striker was CONVICTED as a THUG and his stats dipped dramatically and he became worthless just to spice it up a bit?

think im getting to the point where im going to start waiting for '09 and cut down on this game till then

I hope you can all understand this one

Absolutely impossible to implement with crowd violence as SI would soon be sued for some element of defamation of character. Some kind of nagative story for star players could be possible - but only for FREDs, again, real players would not like being branded a thug in the game, and SI would soon have law suits on their hands.

they used to have 9 months global bans for butting the ref is that not defamation

what about a story 'due to crowd violence of your country in this years euro cup all clubs have been banned from europe for 1 year'

or due to corruption you cannot play in the french cup this year

'Used to' - players started moaning because only players of a certain aggression/temperament in the game would do such a thing - and the players reps argued that categorising them as such was branding them as violent, etc - so that sort of thing has been toaned down.

With regard to the second point - quite simply, why? Crowd violence to that kind of level really doesn't happen any more - yes there are a few ultras in Poland, etc, but ever since Liverpool in the 80s, and since Hillsborough, etc, there have been massive clamp downs on that sort of thing - so it's not part of the game.

With more sophisticated policing abilities, they are normally able to point violence down to individual fans, or groups, etc - so clubs as a whole don't get punished. There is no sensibly legal way of hard coding into the game that Millwall's fans have a bit more of a reputation that Reading's fans. There's just no way of doing it.

With regard to the corruption thing, that would have to be aimed at a specific club - I've already pointed out the flaws in that.

Why not just get on with the game - people get frustrated enough at seemingly random yellow cards - random blanket bannings from competitions would see people stop playing althogether.
