Player Values?

Of course player values are mainly sustained using the quality of the player, but howcome if i have a player with 200 CA and 200 PA with certain clubs their value rises to a certain amount and never goes up after that?

Is it because of the Leagues Reputation? Clubs reputation?

It also depends on the player's reputation, so a player will gain less of a reputation boost at a club with a lower reputation. If a player completes a transfer, the amount they signed for will be their new value, as it indicates what price a team is willing to pay for him.
