I've been trying effortlessley to get players into my game , by which i mean. I have seen loads of superb players in different countries, Algeria for example. Now i know that there is a trick of changing the reputation of the player to make them appear in the Database but i can't remember it. Does anyone here know the trick?

Just load up your db in the pre-game editor, search for the player and increase his rep in there. Im not sure what rep he will need though.

That's the thing though, i've done that but i don't know what levels they need. I've given an Albanian

150 in Home Reputation

100 in National Reputation

100 n World Reputation and he's appeared

yet when i give the same to some Algerian's they don't appear?

You can retain players from that nation. You can generate a ddt file (on this site you can select which nations or clubs you want to retain - ignore the 2007 bit as the files haven't changed). This file goes in C:\Program Files\Sports Interative\Football Manager 2008\data\updates\update-802\db\802\edt (assuming you installed to the default directory and have installed the latest patch).

Yes but that's the problem i don't want to do with the option of having to load up all players, but it depends, does this slow the game down?

I think if you know the players name you can retain them individually.

EDIT: On the DDT Generator, you can load up specific clubs

? You want them to load every player on the off chance that someone wants them in their team?

It's okay, i've been told on another forum that if you put the World Reputation to 120, they appear. Here's hoping

With a Large DB, they still have to exclude players. All the players in the game are used, if you load their respective leagues.

For the same reason it doesn't make EVERY club playable when you start a new game - can you just for one second imagine how slow the game would be on a poorer system with EVERY player loaded.

If I pick large, I want a large database, but I sure as hell don't want every player in the world loaded, why would I want all the Indian and Chinese players loaded unless I was playing in that league?

You're wrong, Large isn't the biggest DB you can have which is why you don't get all the players. You can get the Huge DB, i have it. I can guarantee that even if they did have all the players loaded, you'd be moaning that it takes longer to process the game. Good logic that you have there.

Its a workaround but it would be better to delete all his posts.
