santy001
I'm trying to use the database editor just to do a few transfer updates and what not and every time I try to run the editor I am missing the MSVCP71.dll file, I've tried re-installing and that hasn't restored the file so I was wondering if someone could track it down and host it somewhere or just e-mail me the file, it'd be greatly appreciated if someone could do this - also tell me which folder it goes in, although I think its the general FM2008 folder. santy001
in the FM2008 folder there is another file called MSVCR71.dll so I don't think it is a case of that, I possibly thought of that too and the suggested solution is re-installing but it doesnt fix anything

Neji
It downloads as a .zip file, so you need something like WinRAR (google it, if you dont have it). Then use WinRAR to extract the file to c:/windows/system

auto98uk
jamie - any file that is in windows/system is available for any program to use - so if you have extracted it there (or to the equivalent if it is different in vista) it cannot still be saying file not found

Neji
Try dropping the file into your FM directory and try running the editor again. Otherwise, try a re-install and see if that helps.
