Player Availability question.

How do i change the status of availability to "The club do not wish to sell this player".

Can't seem to find this option.

Go to the player's transfer status (right click on his name in a player list, go to Transfer > Transfer Status [iIRC]), and set the squad status to "Indispensible to the club". You can no longer change the transfer status to not for sale, like you could previously, however. So just set that to "No status" (Or whatever it's called).

I think if you issue hands off a player in the media the players status will change or at least thats what i thought triggered it, could be wrong.

Canvey and medo24 are both right IIRC, the best you can do is change the players status to indespensible, but that isn't always viable as they may be a squad player who you don't want to sell. Issuing a hand off warning or picking reject all offers when viewing a bid should change the status in their personal section.

The players in question have been changed to indespensible and i have rejected and issued hands off warnings. But his status hasn't changed.

In that case there's no way you can set their transfer status to not for sale. Unless the option's in the transfer status screen (which it isn't), it isn't possible.

The only way I've seen that status set is when another manager declares interest in the player in question. You then have to issue a hands off warning.

This un ticks both the no status set and transfer listed buttons on the transfer screen. The player is then unavailable for transfer.

you cant actually set it to "unavailable" it only changes that way with your responses in the media to any specualtion regarding that player...

Thing is, when i reject an offer, the player becomes unhappy. I don't wanna sell, but also i don't want to upset the player.

Leave most of those media items if you want to keep him, most of the time they just upset him.

Players with low loyalty and temperament gets upset easily on transfer offers from big clubs. Those hidden stats are hard to tell from personality description. There seems to be no way of getting around the problem, they get upset even from negotiating the offer. Anyone with a perfect solution?
