uusinjsh
Why are the long-term expectations always the league position? I am playing with Salzburg and have won the title 8 times out of 8 (no other serious contenders). The board's long term expectations are always 'Win the Premier Division'. But why couldn't they say a.e. 'Reach the First Knock-Out Stage of Champions Cup in next 4 years'? Why couldn't they wish that a club that dominates Austrian football climbs higher in Europe? For some clubs the European Cups are more important than local competitions. Let's say, when in 90's (don't remember the year) Latvian Skonto didn't win Latvian Championship but finished as 5nd, but climbed high in Europe (UEFA Cup group stage), no one cared about the league, everyone was excited about performance in UEFA Cup!
